Tipping her head back, she opens for me with a moan and I sweep my tongue across hers. I’m addicted to her mouth, these kisses, I need them like fire needs fuel, oxygen, and heat. If I have to go without them I’ll die.
“Oh shit,” she says, breaking the kiss way too soon. She pulls back to catch her breath. “I forgot to tell you I love you too.”
“What?”
“I love you too. I have for so long, I just thought that you were boring in bed and would never want a filthbag like me.”
I give her a playful smack on the ass and she yelps. “You’ll pay for such insolence.”
She’s a filthbag alright, but hearing those three words come from her mouth, I wasn’t ready for it, and I need a second for it to sink in.
“You OK?”
“I’ve just wanted this for so long, I don’t believe I’m allowed to have you.”
“Rennie, we’re not friends with fucking benefits, you idiot. I’m yours.” She takes my hands in hers, lifting them to her chest, and settles them right over her heart. “All yours.”
Then, with that dirty grin I’ve come to recognise so well, she lowers one and pushes it between her legs. “Completely yours.”
Bec putting my hands on her body, showing me what she wants, is so fucking hot. I’ll never get enough of this woman, and now I don’t have to. “We need to get home before we commit a public indecency crime.”
“Yes, we do,” she laughs. “But you need to call your uncle first. Call Mitch. Cancel the transfer. Rip it up. I’m never letting you go.”

“Whatareyoudoing?”
“Holding my girlfriend’s hand,” Rennie says, squeezing it extra hard.
“People will talk.”
“So let them.” We’re heading out to lunch. Lunch! An actual outing, but my nerves are getting the better of me. We’ve been here in this cosy little bubble, safe behind closed doors and prying eyes for so long. I haven’t considered how other people might react to the news of us coupling up.
“Do you think they’ll be OK with it?”
“With us?” Rennie grips my shoulders, turns me to face him, and tilts my chin upwards. “Babe, it’s nobody’s business, but I’m pretty sure the whole town will be thrilled. You know how everyone’s always trying to set us up.”
“Yeah, but not with each other. I’m about to be the enemy of every woman in Thatch Cross for taking you off the market.”
“Well, that’s their mistake. I was neveronthe market.”
He opens the door and gestures for me to go ahead of him, but I can’t move my feet. “Are you embarrassed to be seen with me?” he teases.
“No.” I just don’t want everyone knowing our business. They all know I’ve been staying here, they won’t have to be a member of the Amateur Detectives Association to figure out what we’ve been up to.
“Then get your gorgeous arse out that door and kiss me all over town so everyone knows you’re mine.”
“Wait! We should tell our parents first, don’t you think?” I say, stalling. “I don’t want them to hear it as town gossip.”
Rennie pulls his phone from his pocket, swipes open his camera, and snaps a selfie with his lips pressed to my cheek. Leaning against the door frame -god why is that so hot?- he narrates as he types out a message.
“Got myself a girlfriend. I think you’ll like her. Absolute. Demon. In. Bed.”
“Do not say that!” I try to grab his phone, but he’s too fast, lifting it high out of my reach.
“I’m just kidding. I’ll delete the last bit. Even though it’s true.”
