“Oh god! Please kill me.”
I frowned. Some of these human sayings were too much.
“Don’t be embarrassed,” I said. “I’ve heard them too. Many times. Taylor is quite vocal as well. It must run in the family.”
“Ah!” Robin shouted dramatically. “Everyone, please stop talking!”
At the same time, Taylor shouted with equal drama, “No!” and covered his ears.
I looked between the brothers, then exchanged a look with Neil, who shrugged while he tried not to laugh.
“At least we know we are adept in bed.”
He grinned.
“From what I heard, you’re more than adept but thank you. I’ll take the compliment.”
“I can’t believe you two are congratulating yourselves,” Taylor said, shaking his head.
This time, he and Robin exchanged a look.
“Come on,” Robin said, sighing even though his cheeks were still red. “Let’s all go out for breakfast.”
Together, the group of us left the apartment, laughing and chatting, the energy high and happy.
Soon, the house on the beach that me and Robin had picked together would be ready for us, and then, life would settle into a new normal.
But for now, I was already feeling blessed.
After all this time, this right now, with Robin, was the beginning of forever.
