Just then, Soren reached over, under the table, his strong grip landed on Nikolai's thigh, squeezing and holding him in place.

Nikolai had to stop himself from arching into the touch, forcing Soren's grip to rub his erection.

Andrey's soft voice broke through the haze in Nikolai's mind.

“Are you feeling down?” he asked.

Nikolai looked up, finding his brother watching him from across the table, looking a little bit concerned.

“I'm okay,” he said, forcing a smile. “Just tired after our journey. When will you come visit next?”

His change in conversation made Andrey’s eyes light up.

“Oh, whenever you’ll have me.”

Their mother caught their conversation and reached over far enough to pat his hand and interrupt.

“You and Soren should head straight to bed after dinner,” she insisted. “Everyone will still be here tomorrow to catch up with.”

Nikolai swallowed and nodded, relief sweeping him.

They had to get out of here fast or he was going to do something embarrassing. As it was, he already couldn't stop himself from leaning against Soren's side. He didn't look at him though, those eyes did too much to him on an average day.

It seemed to take forever for the desert to come.

Nikolai ate it but couldn't taste anything. His senses were overwhelmed with Soren's scent. Breathing it in was more satisfying than any berry crumble could be.

Even after his plate was clean, the conversation didn't stop there. Everyone wanted a moment of their time. Normally, Nikolai would love to catch up. He would be the last one to bed and the life of the party unless of course there was someone enticing enough to lure him away.

Soren was more of a temptation than any man Nikolai had ever been with, so he would have to use that as his excuse for his behavior from now on.

With that in mind, he surreptitiously tugged his belt out in such a way that his cock tucked into it and hoped his jacket would cover the rest. And, unable to take it any longer, he pushed to his feet.

Everyone turned to look at him.

“Thank you so much for the dinner, I hope you don't mind us turning in early,” he said, looking around. “I'll make it up to you all tomorrow.”

If anyone noticed that anything was off, it wasn't obvious on their faces.

Nikolai decided to take that as a good sign and moved toward the door. He thought if he went first that it would make Soren hurry, but his mate didn't seem to be in a rush.

He took his time saying goodnight and thanking everyone for their hospitality while Nikolai shifted anxiously at the door waiting for him.

Finally, when he stood, turning to join Nikolai at the door, an amused smile touched his face.

Nikolai took that in, then dropped his gaze, despite himself, and saw thelack oferection tenting the front of his pants and annoyance filled him.

He clenched his jaw and spun around, not waiting for Soren to join him as he began to march down the hall.

Soren's amused laugh behind him only added to Nikolai's irritation and he took off but before he could make it more than five steps, Soren caught him, sweeping him into a wanted, yet unwanted embrace.

“What did I tell you about running from a wolf?” Soren growled into his ear. “It makes me want to catch you even more.”

Nikolai’s heart pounded. Soren’s hard muscles, tight around him, holding him in place made his “body throb with pleasure.

“You're laughing at me!” he accused weakly.

“I can’t help it,” Soren groaned softly, nuzzling his hair. “Seeing you so desperate… you’re so cute, Nik. It just makes me want to eat you.”
