She could feel the pain in his words. “You didn’t. I’m here, and I’m not going anywhere.” She nipped at his lower lip. “You’re mine.” Her words were a growl and Aaron groaned. He slammed her up against the tile wall. Her body hummed with anticipation as he reached between them, lining himself up and then driving into her in one, devastatingly deep thrust that stole her breath.

She expected him to give it to her hard and fast but he didn’t. His hips rolled into her slowly, ensuring she felt every wanton inch of him. He repeated the motion, drawing a moan of pleasure from Clove. The sex was different. It wasn’t the frantic need to claim each other. It was a deep sensual need to savor this moment.

Aaron slid inside her again and again, his hips rolling deliriously slow and driving a climbing pleasure inside Clove that made her brain melt and body tremble. The water rained over them, heating their flesh and filling their lungs with steam.

Aaron’s mouth was all over her. Every place his lips met her flesh tingled with the echo of his kiss. His cock stroked her, driving a line of fire inside her that detonated each time he hit the same spot. She was panting, shaking with need, gripping his shoulders like he were a lifeline. When her climax hit, it rolled through her like the swell of the ocean, rushing, barreling through every bit of stress and tension she’d felt that day. Her body gripped him as she cried out in relief and ecstasy. The mate bond tugged at her chest and sheer pleasure overwhelmed her.

Everything was different now. And finally being with Aaron as his mate, bonded, the way things were meant to be, felt so undeniably perfect. Aaron didn’t stop. He kept that tortuous, slow, steady rhythm, driving Clove mad with the feeling. Her body quivered as another orgasm climbed. Aaron’s body pleasured her like it was made for her. As if the stars themselves designed his form just to fit her needs.

A sob tore from her chest as her climax shattered through her with such force that it threatened to drown her in bliss, dragging her into its pleasure-filled depths and never letting her out again. Aaron’s grip on her tightened, and he drove himself to the hilt one last time, pressing his pelvis against her and stilling as he emptied himself into her sensitive passage. His groan of euphoria echoed the sounds she’d been making, and she knew he was feeling the same connection, the same perfect melding of bodies and souls.

Aaron’s head dropped to her shoulder as their labored breaths began to slow. She clung to him, boneless, floating as they stayed connected. The world may have been erupting into chaos outside as everything changed. And she didn’t know what the future held for them as Celestials, but she knew she was exactly where she was meant to be, with the one who made her heart more full than she had believed possible. Together, they would figure this all out. Together, they could get through anything the universe threw their way.

A soft knocking woke Clove from her dreams. Aaron had his arms and legs around her, keeping her pressed close to his body. The knocking came again, louder this time. Clove’s eyes fluttered open, but Aaron didn’t move. She tried to wriggle out of his hold, but he just drew her more tightly into him.

“Open up, lovebirds, ye got visitors,” Graham called out to them. Clove nudged Aaron, shaking his shoulders to wake him up. His eyelids drifted open and those maple eyes peered down at her. “Open up or we’re coming in.”

“Yeah, and we don’t care if you’re naked,” someone yelled.Holy shit was that Aria? Aaron’s eyes doubled in size as he came to the same realization. “One, two, three,” Aria shouted and the bedroom door flew wide. Aria ran in, jumping on the bed and dogpiling them both. “Hi!” She grinned as she cuddled into them.

“Aria.” Lark stormed in behind her and gently removed her from the bed. “Boundaries.”

Aria swatted a hand at him. “We gave them the chance to open up,” she argued.

“I don’t think shouting one, two, three as fast as you can and then bolting inside counts as giving them a chance.” Darren stepped into the doorway with a grin on his face.

“Nova, your husband is being unbearable again.” Aria pouted.

Nova strode up next to Darren, her long silver hair on full display as it cascaded down her shoulders. “Now, now, Aria. You promised if you got to come, you’d behave,” Nova added with a smile of her own.

Aria barked out a laugh. “Yeah but no one should have believed me. Anyways, are y’all naked under here? That better not be Aaron’s boner.” She pointed to the sheets.

“Aria.” Nova shook her head.

“Why don’t you two put on some clothes and meet us in the living room?” Darren offered. His golden eyes were such a contrast to his raven hair. He and Nova were the most beautiful couple Clove had ever seen. Her gaze drifted over to Aria and Lark. Aria’s long, dark hair was braided down her back. She had her arms wrapped tightly around Lark’s waist. Lark looked as cruelly beautiful as ever. His white hair was styled up and his eyes were settling into an icy blue and rich amber. Clove chuckled. Okay those two were stunning too. Damn.

“Sounds good,” Aaron said next to her. His deep voice rumbled through her body. The four newbies turned to leave and Graham dragged their door shut. “Looks like the Celestial task force has arrived.” Aaron’s voice was light but there was an edge beneath.

“Try not to fight with Lark,” Clove pleaded. “We need to figure this out and we’ll need all the Celestial help we can get.”

They dressed quickly and joined their friends in the living room. Congratulations were passed around and hugs were given to all.

“More fated mates and more Celestials! It’s so exciting!” Aria clapped her hands together. “That means you and your twin both found your mates. Maybe you’ll get pregnant at the same time and both have twins! You could each name one Aria.”

“Aria!” The group gave a combined groan of exasperation. Clove stiffened a bit. She and Aaron hadn’t discussed the future. He gave her hand a reassuring squeeze.

“Speaking of little ones, where’s Aspen?” Clove asked. Nova and Darren traded a look.

“We weren’t sure of the situation here,” Darren said. “Celestial powers can be difficult to control at the beginning. We thought it was best if… Well, Laurie volunteered to babysit while we’re away.”

“You think we’d harm Aspen?” Aaron asked. Clove could feel the hurt leaking off of him.

“We know you’d never do something intentionally.” Darren’s voice was tight. The air thickened around Aaron and the sweeping sound of wind rustled the screen door.

“Let’s change topics,” Nova offered. “Why don’t you tell us about your powers?”

They filled the group in on the events of the morning. Clove also used the opportunity to mention the Chosen gifts she’d been keeping suppressed. Aaron sat next to her, their fingers entwined. Her wolf was content and her heart was settled with him nearby.
