She prayed Lark’s magic would hold long enough to finish this encounter. She had never been one to push the limits for the sake of adrenaline alone but she had to admit the fear of getting caught made her body wild with arousal and need. He drilled into her with a ferocity that had her whining beneath him. The way he filled her body so fully made Aria’s body tighten and stretch all at once.

The guttural sounds that poured out of her at a steady staccato rhythm were nearly unrecognizable. She growled as her body wound tight beneath Lark’s expert pleasure. Every other worry and care melted away as she gazed into the mirror, locking eyes with Lark. The feral need she saw there sent electricity pulsing through her skin. Lark’s own powers added to the sensation, igniting her skin and sending zings of pleasure driving into her each time he slammed home.

He snarled at their reflections. The sound was so primal, so wild and feral. It was an unspoken command for Aria’s body to submit, and she did, willingly. Her body clamped down around him in a climax so hard it made stars burst behind her eyes. Lark roared behind her as his hot seed filled her deep passage. She rocked her hips back into him, eager to milk every last bit of release from his hard cock. Lark grunted as aftershocks tore through him and Aria grinned. She loved the sound of him coming. And she loved that it was her, who drove him to fuck like it was his last day on earth, every time they were together. They both panted as the rough thrusts drew to a halt. Lark ran his hand down her spine and she moaned at the intimate sensation on her charged skin.

He pulled out and she expelled a heavy breath. “Gideon will be here in a minute.” Lark helped Aria quickly redress.

“How am I supposed to go out there smelling like sex?” Panic and embarrassment began to cut through the euphoric afterglow.

“Let’s make you smell like something stronger than sex,” Lark offered.

“What did you have in mind?” Aria peered up at him as she fixed her top. Lark’s hand brushed against her arm and she yelped as a surge of electricity zapped her body. “Ouch! What the fuck?” She jumped back. “What did you… What is thatsmell?”

“Electrical discharge. Your hair will recover.”

“My hair?” Aria whirled, catching her reflection. She looked like she had stuck her finger in an electrical socket. “Wow. This is a great plan.”

Lark pulled her in for one more tingling kiss. “It really is.”

Gideon frowned as Aria excited Lark’s prison. “Why does it smell like burnt hair?”

Ugh, Lark. Well it was better her hair than Gideon knowing she had just been fucked.

“Lark’s powers of electricity can sometimes be more volatile when he’s worked up. A stray volt here or there and you’re in for a bad hair day.” She chuckled uncomfortably as Gideon judged her answer. She had never been a great liar. Especially when Gideon’s Alpha gaze was burning into her.

“Right.” Gideon seemed to accept her answer and she let out the breath she’d been holding. “Let's go to my office, just the two of us.”

Aria cast one last glance over her shoulder as they walked to the elevator. Lark was looking directly at her, despite the fact that he shouldn’t be able to see anything. She sighed as the doors closed and his familiar face vanished.

The elevator ride was silent. “Listen, Gideon...” Aria started as the doors slid wide.

“It’s true! You’re here!” Someone launched themselves into the elevator, wrapping Aria in a tight embrace. When the figure pulled back she came face to face with the sparkling emerald eyes of Dahlia.

“Dahlia! It’s so good to see you.”

She stepped off the elevator with Dahlia’s arm in hers. Dahlia glared at Gideon. “Gideon thought he could keep this a secret from me? He was wrong.”

“Hewasn’t trying to keep anything from you. You were just too impatient to let me tell you in my own time,” Gideon defended himself.

Dahlia growled back at him and Gideon chuckled. Wait. Dahliagrowledat Gideon. Aria stepped back, allowing her inner animal to come forward. She sniffed, listened and there it was. Dahlia’s inner wolf. “You’re a lycan?! I realize I was gone for a while but I'm pretty sure that wasn’t there before I left.” Dahlia grimaced and held up her arm. There was a pale yellow scar encircling her wrist.

“You bit her?” Aria turned on Gideon, fuming.

“No, I didn’t bite her. You think I would turn my mate against her will? Especially knowing the risk?” Gideon’s tone was sharp and his eyes began to glow.

“Actually he did bite me.” Dahlia moved her t-shirt aside to reveal a silver set of teeth marks at the base of her neck. “But that one I did ask for.” She winked in Gideon’s direction.

“Shut the front door for a minute.” Aria was reeling with this new information. “Are you telling me someone turned Dahlia into a lycan…she survived…andshe’s your fated mate?”

Gideon grinned. “It’s been a busy month.”

“Plus we’re engaged.” Dahlia draped her hand in the air. It housed a truly massive diamond ring. “Also I’m pregnant with twins.” Dahlia casually threw that last one out there. “Just so everything is on the table.”

Aria’s mouth hinged open as she struggled to find words.

Gideon’s hand came down warmly on her shoulder. “You’re going to be an aunt.”
