Gyrl:Caught by the person you were “fooling”?
Vick TF:Yep, I did. ::studying fingernails::

Mythter:::leaning back against the wall, thumbs through my belt loops::
Gyrl:::walking into the schoolyard:: Young man! Recess was over 20 minutes ago!
Mythter:::looking up lazily:: Don’t you recognize me?
Gyrl:::going pale:: You! ::sputtering:: You were expelled two months ago!
Mythter:Hee hee. Hey, you’re good.
Gyrl:Takes one to know one. ::wide grin::
Vick TF:Oh, I got caught because I was being obnoxiously bubba…
Vick TF:::scratching crotch::
Vick TF:I think I played BigBob69 a bit too broadly.
Gyrl:::cracking up::
IrishEyes:Actually, that seems to be the problem acting the other gender… playing too broadly.
Gyrl:Definitely! Maybe that’s the first step, going overly broad. After a while, you learn to tone it down. The boys who work the phone line do!
BillJo:Maybe too broad at first is inevitable.
IrishEyes:Maybe it’s even necessary.

Gyrl:Hey, darlin’… who’s this Mythter?
Vick TF:::chuckling:: What do I look like… Cupid?
Gyrl:::wheedling:: Pleeeeeeeeze?
Vick TF:Mythter is good people. In fact, Mythter just asked the same thing about you!
Gyrl:REALLY?
Vick TF:::clearing throat:: Your audience awaits you, darlin’.
Gyrl:Eeep!
Genuine1:Are we operating under the belief that your personality has something to do with or derives wholly or in part from your gender? Or… are we operating under the belief that every human being is first a human being and second a male or female?
Gyrl:::slowly:: I think there’s danger in thinking “we’re all human.” Same with saying “we have no gender” (which I do think can be true). The danger being that we overlook all the very real violence done in the name of gender…
Genuine1:But… hmmmm
Gyrl:… it’s the danger of any humanist philosophy.
Mythter:Right. “We’re all human” makes women invisible.
