I saw him this weekend for the first time after seven weeks. But now the season has started, I’m heading on road trips and have a game every other night.

I don’t know when I’m going to be able to see him again until like, Christmas, then the two week break in February, and I can’t exactly ask him to drop his responsibilities to come stay with me.

That does sound really tough. Is he supportive of you?

100%. More than I expected him to be considering I didn’t tell him I play hockey.

No, he found out when he watched the first game against Edmonton last week.

I was in a really shit place when we met. You know, with the media being a bunch of dickwads and everyone hating me. Then my car broke down and this big sexy mountain man came to my rescue and I just wanted to pretend everything else didn’t exist for a while.
