“DID YOUhave a productive day?”Randall asked as Sawyer came in through the personal entrance after wandering the garden for a while after his call with Alan.

He sat in one of the overstuffed chairs and put his feet up.“Let me tell you.I fixed the sill for Charles and worked on the roof for his neighbor. All I could do was a temporary repair that will last a year at the most.”He pulled out his phone.“I’m sending you a note that the roof at number 12 will need to be replaced.”Sawyer sent the message.“I’ve done plenty of roofing, so I was thinking that maybe we could determine which four or five need to be fixed first and ask the community to chip in.I know how to do roofing, and as long as they aren’t thatched, we should be able to get the work done.”He closed his eyes.

“Good. And I think I’ve identified the four cottages that need upgraded electrical and plumbing first.”Randall turned away from his desk.“And I’m working to try to come up with how to pay for all of this.”

“And…?”Sawyer said.

“I can’t add more regular tours. But what do you think about a secret passages tour?We could add one or two a day.No more than that. They would need to reserve them in advance. And on that tour, we could include the servants’ back stairs and maybe a look into some of the other servant areas. They would need some sprucing up, but much of it’s on the third floor. The basement work areas aren’t in any condition to be opened. What do you think?”

“If Celeste can handle it, then I’d try it out and see if you get any interest.”He cleared his throat.

“I know what you’re going to say. You’re like a dog with a bone with this tea thing.”He rolled his eyes.Sawyer knew he was wearing him down.

“Well, I love the idea, and I’d pay to have tea with you… as long as you served coffee.”God, he wanted to good strong cup of coffee.Hell, he’d kill for one about now.“But I guess I have something I have to know. Are you sure about me staying here with you?Is that what you really want?”

Randall stood and strode over to where Sawyer sat and plopped down onto his lap. That was new, and damn, Sawyer liked it—a lot.“Does this feel like I’m serious?”He leaned against Sawyer’s chest.“In case you have any doubts, then yes.I want you to stay here, and I want to see where things go between us.I’ve spent way to many years looking for something—or someone—and now that I found you, I’m not going to let you go.”

“I see.”Damn, it was heady being wanted so badly.Sawyer smiled, dropping his hat on the floor next to the chair.“Then as long as you’re serious and you know what you’re in for, I’ll stay. But there are some conditions.”

“There are?”

“Yes.We need some dogs. This place really needs some dogs running around.”

Randall smiled.“I like dogs.”

“Great. That that will be easy.We have to have more horses, and if you put me in charge as the estate steward, then you let me do the job and don’t stick your nose in all the time. And lastly, you agree to try out my tea idea.”

Randall growled.“Fine.We’ll try it out, but if I have to do it, then so do you.”

“I love it when you make that sound.”

Randall pressed his lips to Sawyer’s ear.“And I really love it when you fuck me while you’re wearing your hat.”

Now it was Sawyer’s turn to growl.Randall slipped off him, and Sawyer took his hand and led him up the stairs. He paused outside of Randall’s room, realizing it was their bedroom now.He liked that idea and tugged Randall inside before kicking the door closed.Sawyer opened the buttons on his shirt and shrugged it off. Then he kicked off his boots, watching Randall shiver.“Does all this talk mean that you love me?”Sawyer suddenly needed to know, and he wasn’t going to beat around the damned bush.He stalked closer, watching as Randall nodded.“I need the words; I need to hear it.”

Randall stepped back against the bed as Sawyer tugged at his shirt.“Yes.Of course I love you.I have since before we left Wyoming, but I didn’t dare let myself believe it.What if you didn’t come with me?What if you did and then went home?I had to make sure it was real.”

“Well, it is.”He pulled off his jeans and got Randall naked, which meant yanking off his shoes and shucking the man of his pants.“I love you, Randall.”He leaned over him, pressing him onto the mattress.“I sure didn’t love your attitude at first. But you won me over when you showed me the real you.”He manhandled Randall as he climbed on the bed.“And you stole my heart.”He didn’t dare look away from Randall. Not that he could if he tried. The man was sexy as hell, especially heaving for breath with his eyes as wide as saucers.Sawyer fumbled around until he found the supplies and then got Randall ready before slowing sinking into the man.He was way too keyed up to take it slow.Tonight, after the entire estate was in bed, he’d make love to him for hours, but right now, at this minute, he needed to claim Randall as his.

Randall groaned as Sawyer sank deeper, his breathing fast.Sawyer closed the gap between them, kissing him hard as he drove the final way, filling Randall, joining them physically as well as by their hearts.

“You’re mine and you always will be.Know that.I love forever, and I’m damned selfish when it comes to those I love,” Sawyer said between kisses, not giving Randall much of a chance to say anything. Not that words were really needed.Randall’s body told him everything he needed to know, from the sheen of sweat on his chest to the way his mouth hung open as Sawyer pulled away and slowly pushed into his tight heat.

“Fuck, that was some declaration.”Randall wound his arms around Sawyer’s neck.“It’s a good thing I don’t share well with others either.”He groaned as Sawyer picked up the pace, rocking the bed.“I love you too.”Randall arched his back.“And fuck, you’re sexy in that hat.”

“You like making love to a cowboy?”Sawyer asked, seating himself deep inside Randall.

“I think I always will.”Randall groaned as the heat and excitement between them grew to a fever pitch.Sawyer didn’t dare close his eyes.He wanted to remember this moment, the way Randall’s eyes sparkled and then darkened as their passion continued to grow.Sawyer let loose all his desire, his mind floating as he drove them up a mountain of ecstasy. His control stayed with him right up to the point where Randall cried out, his entire body shaking under Sawyer as he tumbled into his release. The sight of him in the throes of passion was more than he could take, and Sawyer plummeted into his own climax, holding Randall with everything he had.

“Damn,” Sawyer whispered a while later. His hat had tumbled off at some point and now rested cockeyed on the floor. Not that he cared.Sawyer held Randall in his arms, his eyes closed, fatigue and afterglow covering him in a blanket of sheer contentment.“I’m sure I have things I should be doing, but I can’t remember what they are.”

“I know just how you feel,” Randall said as he reached for his phone.“I don’t know about yours, but my calendar is empty for the rest of the day.”

“Thank goodness.”Sawyer snuggled closer before yawning and closed his eyes once more.“I do have a question, though.”

“About what?”

“Well, if we get married, what does that make me?If you married a woman, then she would be a countess.”
