“Why not? Is it a sex thing?”
I slam the door, yet a smirk pulls at my lips.

“Wait, what?” Jazmine screams. "Why didn't you tell me this weeks ago?"
I wince, watching as my girlfriend gets swamped by my sister.Girlfriend.That might just be my new favourite word.
I smile, holding back a laugh as the girls jump around the living room while hugging. Willow has been waiting until everything was finalised to tell people about the PWHL.
“You know what it doesn't matter," Jaz says, waving her hands. "This is the best news I’ve heard all day. We should be going out for cocktails, not having a night in.”
Willow chuckles, shaking her head. “No, this is fine. Just hanging out with my favourite people,”
I smirk, unable to help myself. “Thanks, Red. I didn’t realise you liked me that much.”
Willow whips around, eyes turning to slits. She flashes me her middle finger. “I hate you,”
We hold our gaze, and she licks her lips. Around us, the air charges, and I really want to–
Jazmine groans. “Is this how it’s going to be from now on? You two eye-fucking each other.”
“Maybe? Depends on how much Jayden pisses me off,”
“I don’t even want to know,”
The front door clicks and Theo waltzes into the lounge room, his arms full with three boxes of pizza.
“Dinner is served,”
Jaz greets Theo with a chaste kiss before helping him set the boxes up on the small dining table. I pull Willow’s chair out, relishing in the glare I receive.
“I can do that myself, you know.”
I smile. “I know you can, but now you don’t have to.”
Jaz laughs, shaking her head. “Trust me, Willow, it’s easier to go along with it.” She grabs a slice of pizza and places it onto her plate. “I’m not allowed near the handle of a car door.” Jaz shoots Theo a look.
“Don’t look at me like that, Princess,” Theo smirks. “You love the princess treatment.”
Jaz sighs. “Hmm, it is nice.” She looks to Willow. “Especially when the man helping you is extremely hot.”
“Well, I suppose I’ll have to let Jayden help me with the car door from now on.”
“Argh. I walked straight into that one.”
All of us laugh. The night continues with board games, and with too many competitive people involved, the stakes seemed a lot higher than normal.
Willow and I are sitting cross-legged on the floor with the Monopoly board on the coffee table.
I link our hands together because, for some reason, I need to be touching Willow. I think she said something about physical touch being my love language, and right now, I couldn’t agree more.
“No,” my sister yells, slamming her money onto the board. “I refuse to declare bankruptcy.”
“Princess, it’s okay to lose sometimes.”
Jazmine stares at him like he is an absolute idiot. “Of course, you would say that you’re trying to take my money.”
