I lay there quivering and waiting for him to touch me. He blew his breath across my most sensitive area and I almost bucked straight off the ground. Then he slowly swiped his tongue up my center, and I bit back a loud moan.
“You’ll have to be quiet,” he warned, slipping two fingers deep inside of me.
“Oh my goddess,” I gasped.
“Unless you want the entire hotel to know what were doing in the gardens.” He moved his fingers again. “Think you can manage to be quiet?”
I bit back a moan and nodded my head.Yes.
“Good girl,” he said and proceeded to drive me crazy. He took me to the brink, with the gentlest of touches and the softest of kisses. When I was at the point of begging for him to let me finish, he lifted up and resettled himself between my legs. I had a moment to feel his length brush against my inner thigh, and then he was sliding deep inside of me.
My back arched in pleasure, and the wind swirled around us in a kaleidoscope of fall leaves. I hadn’t meant to call my element, but I loved him, and it was incredible feeling him thrust inside of me after being without him for the past weeks.
Charlie hitched my legs higher, and I felt myself starting to go. Tearing my mouth away from his, I pulled in a full breath. When the orgasm hit I started to shout, but then his lips were on mine again and his tongue thrust deep in perfect synchronization to his hips.
I swear I saw stars. Afterward, I slowly, slowly came back down to earth and the wind gradually settled and was calm once more.
Charlie blinked down at me. “Crazy woman. I can’t believe we just did that.”
I wriggled beneath him. “You mean to tell me that you’ve never had sex outside before?”
“Not in a public place where we could be caught, no.”
“Stick with me, sailor,” I said, and that made him chuckle.
“I’m crazy about you,” he said, shaking his head.
Cupping one side of his face in my hand, I spoke from my heart. “I love you, Charlie.”
His eyes grew wide. “What did you say?”
“I said that I love you.” Tenderly, I brushed his hair back from his brow. “Thought you might want to know.”
His smile bloomed slowly. “Well, that’s handy, as I love you too.”
“You do?”
“I do,” he said. “I love you, Skye.”
“Kiss me, Charlie,” I whispered. And he swiftly granted my request.
We lay together in each other’s arms as the wind spun around us a few more times in a warm and happy sort of carousel. I recognized it as a blessing and was grateful that the element of air agreed with my choice of a partner.
“This spot just became my favorite part of the grounds,” he said.
“Mine too,” I agreed as we sat up and righted our clothes. “I wanted to bring you here tonight because I thought that after everything you’ve done for me, you deserved some romance and a little magick. That, and there’s no security cameras.”
His eyebrows rose. “Well,Iknew that, but how did you?”
“Because I studied the security feed in your office last month during my investigation.”
He smirked at that and rose to his feet. “And here I thought you were going to tell me that you’d divined the perfect location to seduce me in...”
“Well, the southern wind sort of nudged us along too.”
“The southern wind?” Charlie asked. Holding out his hand, he helped me rise.
“I am linked to the element of air, remember? Because of my connection, the wind will sometimes answer my call. Depending on the direction it comes from, it can also tell me messages.”
