“So fucking good,” he muttered, and I heard him lick his lips. Such a good boy, although I’d never call him that. Maybe in time, but not right now.

He rolled onto his back, his soft dick resting on his stomach.

“We should get cleaned up,” he said. “Ava will kill us if we’re late.” I glanced at the clock next to the bed. We had about two hours, and the journey would take an hour, provided the trains were on time.

You’d think showering together would cut the time in half but, like newlyweds, we couldn’t keep our hands off each other. No orgasms, but not for want of trying. We dressed in a hurry, throwing on whatever we could find. Far too much time spent in the shower, but I regretted none of it.

Later than expected, we sat on the tube, making our way to my parents’ place, just north of the city, arriving half an hour late.

“Where the fuck have you been?” Ava whispered as we walked into the house. “I’ve had to fight Aunt Edith off with her own stick. She’s been very handsy with Shane.”

Ava and Shane had been inseparable since opening night, and we’d had the odd night out with them, a few bars and meals out. Never nightclubs. I wasn’t cut out for those.

“Relax. It’ll be fine.” I turned to Xavier, grabbing his hand. “Let’s go see Edith. She’s going to love you.”

And love him, she did, taking hold of his hand and patting it.

“Ooh, who is this attractive young man when he’s at home?” She turned to me, a wicked glint in her eye. “I can see exactly what you see in him.”

She gestured towards his groin. It was hard—no pun intended again—to hide all that he was packing. Even wearing loose jeans, it was obvious what was going on underneath his clothes, especially as he insisted on going commando most days.

We both appreciated that fact.

“There’s a lot to like,” I said with a wink, knowing she’d get the innuendo.

She threw her head back and laughed. “I wish you’d been around in my day. We could have had lots of fun.” We all laughed. She was a character.

“You’re a wicked woman, Edith. I wouldn’t have you any other way.” I leaned down and kissed her cheek. She was my favourite aunt by far, although she wasn’t really my aunt. It was one of those odd situations where we called Mum’s friend, or maybe it was Grandma’s friend, aunt.

“Come back later and tell me all about this play you and Shane are doing,” she said to Xavier. “Maybe you can get me tickets? The girls and I would love to see it. Backstage passes too?”

“I’ll see what I can do, Edith,” he said, winking. “How about a tour of the dressing rooms too?”

Her eyes lit up. “Most definitely, young man. Now go meet everyone else, but come find me later. I think you and I will get on very well.” She shooed us away, and we made our way into the dining room.

I found my parents there, chatting with some old friends, and mum’s eyes lit up as I walked towards her. I’d never brought anyone home with me before, and I was a little nervous about how this would go, as old as I was. They knew I was gay. That wasn’t the issue. The newness of this situation had me sweating slightly.

“Ben, I’m so glad you’re here. Ava was worried.” She brought me in for a hug, kissing my cheek. “And who is this? Is this Xavier?”

She moved from me to him and hugged him too.

“Mum, this is Xavier. Xavier, my mum, Mel.”

“I want to say I’ve heard a lot about you, but I really haven’t, other than you’re the lodger. I don’t think that’s the case now, though, is it?” she said with a smile.

“Xavier is my boyfriend, Mum. We’ve been together for a couple of weeks now.” Fingers crossed it would be longer. It was going in the right direction, I thought, and when Xavier took my hand, linking our fingers, it made me smile.

“I know, and I’m so happy for you both. Your dad too.” He nodded his agreement, a man of few words. “Go mingle anyway. Have you seen Aunt Edith? She was dying to see you. We’ll catch up later. So many people we haven’t seen for years.” Mum walked away, waving to another couple that had just walked into the room.

“I don’t think I’ve heard you use the ‘B’ word before,” Xavier said, moving to stand in front of me. He clasped my other hand in his, stormy grey eyes boring into mine. “I like it a lot.”

He nuzzled into my neck, licking that sensitive spot behind my ear.

I melted, my knees almost giving way. I loved it when he did that, and he knew it, too.

“Later,” I whispered. “Let’s do the rounds, have a bit of cake, then go home for extra dessert.”

We broke apart, and I took Xavier around, introducing him to my family and some old friends. I watched the reactions of the women, all of them interested in Xavier, some of the men too. He was gorgeous, and I felt lucky he’d chosen to be with me.
