“Sounds good, but separate showers. Otherwise, we’ll never leave the house. You’ll need to help me with my plastic bags, though.” Seb needed to keep his casts dry. Hopefully, he could get them removed soon.
“OK, I’m starving now, though, so hurry up!” Joe smacked him on the arse as he got them both to standing. “We could have been eating now if you hadn’t waylaid me.”
“Hey, that hurt. Didn’t hear you complaining before,” he said over his shoulder. The sting from Joe’s light slap had his cock taking notice again.
“No, and you won’t either. I can’t wait to repeat that.” Joe kissed him again, then helped him upstairs to the shower.
An hour later, they were both sitting in a local pub, drinks in front of them and their food already ordered.
Joe held Seb’s hand across the table, and he sighed. Despite his injuries, Seb hadn’t been this happy in a long time. His stalker was no more, literally, and Joe was here with him. Their earlier lovemaking was fresh in his mind and, as he thought about it, he felt himself starting to blush. He wasn’t new to sex, but with Joe, it had somehow felt more real.
“What’s got you blushing, Seb?” Joe asked, a twinkle in his eye.
“I don’t think I need to tell you what I’m thinking about.” Seb blushed even more if that were possible and squeezed his hand. Joe leaned across the table and kissed him lightly.
“Just wait until later. I’ll make you blush even more.”
A cough beside them announced the arrival of their food, and they sat back in their chairs as the server placed the plates in front of them.
“Enjoy,” the waitress said.
“Don’t worry; I intend to.” The lust dripping from Joe’s words was unmistakable, and Seb blushed again. What this guy did to him…. He didn’t think he’d ever felt this way about anyone before.
They finished their meals, hastily declining dessert. Joe paid, then helped Seb out of the pub. The promise of ‘dessert’ at home had them rushing to the car.
“Hi, Joe.” Seb looked around to see who’d greeted Joe and cringed when he saw Clare. Fuck, just what they needed. Seb was in no mood to answer the questions that would inevitably follow when she saw his casts.
“Oh my God, Seb. What happened?” she asked, noticeably concerned. Clare wasn’t on her own, but was with another man, who he presumed was Neil.
“I was in a car accident a couple of weeks ago. A few broken bones, but I’m good now, thanks.” He stepped closer to Joe as he supported him around his waist.
He wasn’t sure what else to say, and the discomfort between the four of them was noticeable.
Clare spoke first. “I’m really sorry for what I put you guys through. It was wrong of me, but I’m so glad you were able to work it out and got back together again.” She looked between him and Joe. “You look happy, Joe. Happier than I’ve seen you in a long time, and you were right. The marriage wouldn’t have worked, so I suppose I should thank you for being adult enough to call it off. Now we can all be happy.”
She reached for Neil’s hand. “We both thank you, actually. I didn’t realise how unhappy we’d made each other until it was over.”
Seb was shocked when Neil spoke. “I suppose I should apologise to you, Joe. We never meant for it to happen. You’re a good guy, and I know we made the last few months miserable for you. I hope one day you’ll forgive us.”
Clare moved in and hugged them both. “I do hope we can be friends. We spent a long time together, Joe, and I’d hate to think we couldn’t be because of what I did, what we did.”
Seb had to admit that she did look guilty and genuinely upset.
“Goodbye, Joe, Seb.” She turned away and Neil led her to his car.
“Well, that was unexpected,” Joe said as he looked over at Seb as they walked towards the car, their former haste forgotten.
“Yeah, but it seems she’s got over it now and is happy enough.”
Joe turned to look at Seb. “Are you happy?” Joe reached for Seb’s hand.
He smiled at his man. “More than you know, Joe.”
