Ori would be the only one. Ever. “I’ll see you soon, love.”

He smiled and relaxed against the pillow.

My future.

ORI

Nervous didn't even begin to describe how I felt about meeting Cord, Andro, and their omegas. I debated so much about when to reveal who I was and why I was there. Of course, I was not going to follow through with my idiotic plan. I knew too much about my father now. And also about Andro and Cord and how they ran their business. They were not the villains in the story.

Rosco deserved the truth about who I was. I needed him to know, even if it would hurt him. In time I hoped he would forgive me.

It would come to light sooner rather than later, and if my uncle insisted on getting his revenge, he would not stop just because I gave up the mission.

When Rosco came back after his long day, I was dressed and ready for dinner. Thankfully, since he and I began our relationship, I had started carrying a bag full of things I would need for staying over at his house, although I knew now that this was more his house than the apartment he had taken me to in the past.

I wore a pair of black skinny jeans, with a silver sweater that fell off one shoulder. Meanwhile, Rosco wore the same black dress pants, white button-up, and black jacket he’d worn when he left this morning. He appeared as if he had freshly showered. My brow wrinkled as I looked at him.

He laughed. "I showered after I worked out. I figured if I came up here without being ready to leave that I would get too distracted, and we would end up late."

"Distracted by what?" I asked with a knowing smile.

He gripped my hips and pulled me to him. "Distracted by whom," he said, and he captured my lips with his.

I melted into his embrace. I’d spent the whole day in this man’s bed, surrounded by his scent, yet I couldn’t get enough of him.

He groaned against my lips. “I could get used to coming home to this.”

“I think you can. You did ask me to stay. Maybe I will take that literally and just never leave this room. I will live only to serve you.”

Rosco’s eyes darkened, and he ground his hips against me. “Do not tempt me with such things, omega.”

There was a knock on the door.

"What?" he shouted.

"Boss wanted me to come up and get you so you're not late."

Rosco chuckled. "Cord’s being impatient.”

“We better go," I said, and I laced my fingers into his.

I hadn't left the room at all today. I took the opportunity to sleep and catch up on some reading. I didn't want to explore the house at all. One, there was the off chance that someone could recognize me, and two, I did not want my little revelation to cause any issues and have them wondering why I was wandering around.

The whole walk down to the dining room, scenariosran through my mind of what could happen when I revealed who I was. It could all go so badly.

Rosco lifted my hand to his lips and kissed it. "Your palms are sweating."

I shot him a glare. "A gentleman wouldn't point that out."

He laughed. "Sweetheart, I am not a gentleman. Surely, you know this."

We stepped into the dining room before I could come up with a comeback. Cord was seated at the head of the table, his omega, who I knew to be Avery—formerly known as Velvet—sat at his side, perched on his lap.

To Cord’s left was Andro. Next to him, his mate, Joey. Jeremiah was at the bar, filling a glass, and with him was his mate, Felik. I also recognized Trev and Rowan.

"Fantastic of you to join us," Cord said.
