“You got my heart, Hevyn. Please don’t break it, because you’re the only woman it wants.”

I stroked his cheek lovingly. “You’re safe with me, my love. I only want you. If you feel the same way, then fill me with your love.”

He bit down on his lip and lowered my leg. Cache’s waist moved like water. He gave me deep strokes until he finally came. The vein in his forehead protruded. His body looked as if it was strained.

Cache’s body slightly shook while he bust what felt like a big nut. When he was done, he rested on my chest for minutes. I trailed my nails up and down his toned back. The joy I felt was immense. Cache could be anywhere with anybody else, but he chose to give me his time and attention. I’d never take that for granted.

As I drove to work, I couldn’t help the smile that continued to pop up. Cache had me feeling like an actor that just achieved EGOT status. I had love all over me like Monica said. There was literally nothing I wouldn’t do for him.

He’d come into my life and showed me I was not living like I thought I was. I wasn’t. My routine and shelter were all I needed. Now, I didn’t have thoughts in my head that didn’t pertain to him. I didn’t want it any other way.

I’d fallen in love with him. I could be under him all hours of the day and not feel bad about it. It just wasn’t the sex that had me crazy in love with him. I’d never met a man so gentle, thoughtful, and intentional when it came to everything he did.

He thought about me when he made decisions. If he saw something he thought I’d like, he bought it. My fingers mindlessly toyed with the gold necklace he gifted me a few days ago. Cache had such great taste. Not only that, but he actually put thought into the little trinkets he got me. Day by day, he tore my walls down.

I turned and drove up the driveway of my client’s home. The Kors were my second favorite couple I worked with. They were a young black couple with money the long way. Mrs. Kors was an attorney, and Mr. Kors was the COO of a big company.

Their home was lavish, and so was their lifestyle. I’d helped with their first child, Kahari. He was three now. Three months ago, baby Neal was birthed. He was the sweetest baby ever. Mrs. Kors texted that she’d be here late because of her girls’ night with her sisters.

That wasn’t a problem at all. Mr. Kors was here, so he had the kids. I parked, but there was an unfamiliar car in the driveway. The license plate readHoney B.It was definitely a woman’s car. I found that to be strange, but maybe Mr. Kors entertained a client. I’d witnessed him do it plenty of times during dinner hours.

I grabbed my overnight bag and climbed out my car. An exciting feeling coursed through me. I missed my little babies so much. Kahari was about to follow me around everywhere untilhis bedtime. It was my favorite part of my visit. I entered the code in the pin pad and walked into their home.

The moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with an eerie silence. A strange feeling overcame me. What was going on? I’d at least hear Kahari running around or his tablet playing loudly. Something didn’t feel right.

I entered the code and secured their home. The first thing I did was place my bag on the couch and searched for the kids. When I made it upstairs, I walked inside Neal’s nursery. He was sound asleep. It was six in the evening, so he’d be stirring soon for a bottle. I exited his nursery and walked down the hallway to Kahari’s room.

The sound of his TV met me before I entered his room. When I did go inside, he sat on his carpet and played with his blocks. His eyes lit up when he saw me.

“Hevyn!” he squealed.

“Hey, buddy!” I picked him up and hugged him. “Why are you up here and not downstairs?”

“Daddy told me to wait in my room until you came.”

“Alright. Well, I’m here now. How about a snack before I make you some dinner?”

“Yes!”

I giggled at his excitement. “Come on.”

We walked down the stairs together. I felt completely better now that I knew the kids were good. Once in the kitchen, I hoisted him in a seat at their island.

Kahari played on his tablet while I hastily made him a little saucer filled with vegan corn puffs, grapes, and cheese cubes. I slid him his plate and added a juice pouch with it. He used the stand on his case to prop his tablet. I watched him gobble his snacks for a few seconds.

“I’ll be right back. I’m going to let your dad know I'm here. Do you know where he is?”

Kahari shook his head. “Nope.”

“It’s okay.”

I ruffled his little curls before I walked away. I decided to start with his office. From the glass doors, I could tell no one was in there because it was completely dark. He had a guest over, so maybe he entertained them in his man cave. I rarely went down there because he was always in his office.

I walked down the few steps that led to his man cave. Music floated from his room and met me in the hall. I really didn’t want to bother him, but I also didn’t want to startle him with my presence when he came up. I knocked twice on the door, but he didn’t answer. Against my better judgment, I twisted the knob and walked inside.

“Hey, Mr…”

My sentence trailed off the moment I looked around the room. There were piles and piles of drugs, cash, and the sight of Honey Buns, the stripper from Tread’s club.
