“I’m comin’.” Vo stepped forward.
I shook my head. “Any other time, I’d be down, but not this time. I need y'all here protecting my girl. This is one debt I gotta settle on my own.”
“Aight. I understand, but reach out if you need us,” Vo responded.
“Will do.”
I shook up with him and Tread then jogged out the hospital and jumped on my bike. It was a little after 10:00 p.m. and time to do what wolves do . . . hunt.
I pulled up to the warehouse and killed my lights and engine. I was fired up. That bitch Honey Buns better sang like a fuckin’canary. If she knew Raymond’s whereabouts then I’d let her live, but she had to pay for her sins.
My guards that secured the door saluted me. I returned the gesture and stepped inside. When Honey Buns and I locked eyes, her tears immediately rolled down her cheeks. Her mouth was covered with tape, but I could still hear her pleas and sobs. I stopped in front of her and placed my fingers to my lips. She immediately stopped crying.
“Right now is the listening part. You’re going to tell me the role you played with that nigga Raymond and where I can find him. If you tell, I’ll let you live. If you try to act tough or lie, I’m goin’ to kill you. We on the same page?”
She nodded.
“Good. Now is the talkin’ part.”
I walked forward and snatched the tape from her mouth.
“Shit!” she shrieked.
“Talk!” I shouted.
“Alright. I’ve been fuckin’ Ray off and on since we were teenagers. We weren’t together, but I loved him, and I’d do anything for him. He wanted to bring you all down, so I fucked one of your street soldiers to get the information Ray wanted.
“He never planned to kill Hevyn until he saw you guys were a couple. Ray had been watching y’all for a while now. When y’all blew up his warehouse, that forced him to move all his merchandise in his home temporarily.
“But when Hevyn walked into his man cave and seen all his shit and us fuckin’, he felt he had no other choice but to kill her. It’s not funny, but she’s fast as hell. I played my part, so I accept my consequences. You can find Ray at his parent’s old home. You know where that is,” Honey Buns expressed and sniffled.
“Thank you for your honesty, but at the end of the day, you gotta pay.”
I pulled my dagger from my waistband. Before she could protest, I grabbed her face and cut her tongue out her mouth. Honey Buns howled like a monster, but I wasn’t done.
I removed her first two fingers on both hands just in case she wanted to get trigger happy because she’d no longer be able to talk again. Honey Buns cried while blood poured from her mouth and fingers.
“Now, you’ll live like the fuckin’ rat you are. You can thank that nigga Raymond. If I was you, I’d find my way out of here before you bleed to death or the rats get ahold of you.”
Honey Buns nodded her understanding. I cut her loose and swaggered away. Nobody in this fuckin’ world would ever play in my butterfly’s face and not pay consequences.
“Head out,” I commanded my crew.
They nodded and climbed in their cars. We all sped away, but only I would head to the spot where it all started. Minutes later, I arrived at Tyriq’s big ass house. Chill bumps covered my skin under my clothes.
It had been over ten years since I killed that nigga and his wife, and even from the grave, that nigga still fucked with me. As if savagely murdering my mama wasn’t enough, I still had to battle with his spirit of vengeance living in his son. If a fight to the death was what he wanted, then I’d grant him that.
I unbuckled my seat belt and mashed down on my accelerator. When I was a few feet from the front door, I tumbled out of my truck and watched as my truck crashed through the front of the house. One of the best defense methods was the element of surprise.
With my gun strapped across me, I ran around to the back of the house and broke in through the back door. My gun was aimed, and I crept through the kitchen. As I transitioned into the living room, there were young niggas that accessed the crash of my truck.
Perfect. I let my bitch clap. All three of their asses dropped faster than a raindrop. Swiftly, I aimed my gun at the stairwell when I heard a loud voice.
“What the fuck is going on?”
Raymond stood on the stairs. He looked just like Tyriq. When he saw it was me, he upped his gun and fired at me. Quickly, I jumped behind a wall. My heart beat wildly, but my ears didn’t miss how fast Raymond retreated upstairs.
I took my time and peered around the corner. When the coast was clear, I eased upstairs with my gun ready to blow that nigga’s shit back. Once I made it to the top of the stairs, the hallway was clear, but there were four rooms I had to clear.
