To be devoured and treated like the goal is to make me feel like a first choice.

We dance like this for another song. Front to front. My arms around his neck. His arms around my waist. When he slides his leg between mine, my body stutters. I use the music pumping out of the speakers as a reason for my gyrating on his thigh. Each rub of his jeans against my core has my body reaching higher and higher to the peak. Before I know what’s happening, we’re moving off the dance floor and to a secluded corner of the club. We’re still in view of the other patrons but we have enough privacy to continue what we’re doing. As soon as we’re hidden away, he presses me up against the scratchy felt wall and places his thigh between my legs again. A whimper escapes as he presses firmly against my aching core.

“Is this what you want?” He huskily whispers as his lips find my neck again and he trails his hand back down my thigh to the hem of my dress. A gentle back and forth sweeping of his fingers on my upper leg has my mind short circuiting.Seriously, get it together Sarah!

“Yes.” I pant and shove my fingers through his hair. I pullhim back so I can get as good of a look in the dark club as possible. “But not here.”

His hands come up and gently wrap around my wrists that are still locked around the back of his neck. “Do you have a place around here?”

I nod my head and pull my hands from his grasp, leaving our hands linked together. “Mm-hmm. I’m at a hotel a block away.”

“Okay,” he says and pulls me with him as we move out of the hideaway.

I follow close as we wind our way through the gyrating bodies and stop at the coat check before heading outside. He helps me into my coat, making sure to button it up, before slugging his on and together we fall in stride towards the doors, hand-in-hand, and out into the Ohio tundra.

I had thought his appeal would disappear when we left the club. But as I tell him which hotel I’m staying at, his allure amps up when he wraps his arm around my shoulder, shielding me as much as he can from the cold and the spectators loitering on the sidewalk. The walk to the hotel is charged with an undeniable chemistry. One I’ve never felt with any of the guys I attempted to date in college. Or even with Paul. But I force my mind to forget about anyone else as we take a slight turn to where the hotel is located and stroll into the lobby, right towards the elevator. Luckily, we have no wait and the doors open instantly. Hot stranger and I filter into the car and I press the number 8 to take us up to my room.

We both plaster ourselves to opposite sides of the car. And in this light I feel metaphorically knocked on my ass. He’s beautiful. His dark blond hair is tamed, but slightly trussed up from my fingers running through it in the club. And will probably look messier if the way we danced is anysign. I see a peek of ink trailing up his neck and it makes me wonder if he has any more tattoos or if he just decided to tattoo his neck. His dark blue eyes survey me and when our eyes clash a breathtaking smile is almost enough to make me screw the one night stand and ask if he’s looking for a relationship. Which goes against my new rule, but for his smile I would throw out every last rule I had about falling in love.

“What’s your name?” He asks as the elevator car gets closer to my floor.

“Why?” I ask because this isn’t normally what I do when I just need a release.

“Because I need to know whose name I’m going to groan out and you need to know whose name to scream when I make you come over and over.”

Well, shit.

“Are you always this cocky?” I ask and don’t deny that his words did something to me.

His answering smirk is answer enough. Usually, it’s a turnoff. But tonight, when I feel like all he needs to do is brush against my leg, his smirk does the trick.

I cross my legs in a nonchalant way but I can’t deny the way his early statement hits me right in the core. I also don’t miss the way his eyes twinkle at the movement. “Sarah,” I say after a beat. “Yours?”

“Theo,” he tells me.

God, even his name is hot. I open my mouth to say something when the elevator stops on my floor. He steps forward and takes my hand in his to drag me out of the car.

“Left or right?”

“Right. Three doors down.” I say and he drags me in that direction. I manage to fish my room key out of my small purse as we’re walking hurriedly and hand it to him.

Theo swipes the key against the door and when the light turns green we file into my room. As soon as the door closes, we’re flooded in darkness as I didn’t think to turn on the bedside light before I left. But my eyes slowly begin to adjust with the sliver of light filtering through the crack under the door and I see him still leaning against the door. I set my purse on the small table and that sound must wake him up. But I decided I need to be in charge. I move to turn on the small light that’s on the table and when he steps into my space, I hold my hands out and press against his firm chest.

In this dim light he almost looks devilish. Like he’s not so gentlemanly after all and my pussy quivers at the thought. He quirks an eyebrow at me and a smirk lifts on one side revealing a dimple.

“I’m in charge tonight.” I declare and slide my hands down his torso. The clench of his abs as I reach the hem of his shirt and trace the line where his shirt meets his jeans, has me rejoicing that I can make him feel this.

“Oh, really? And what are you going to do to me?” His question comes out in pants as I continue to lightly trace my fingers over his skin.

“I think the question is, what am I not going to do to you?”

His eyebrows raise in surprise at that. One thing I decided to change was my approach with men and hookups in general.

“Hmm.” He starts and shucks his jacket off. “What are you not going to do to me?”

“Well first, let’s get unsexy. Are you clean?”

He nods in quick succession and it’s the most serious I’ve seen him. “Yes. I just got tested last month. I even have the results on my phone if you want to see them.”
