“I don’t know,” she mumbles into my hair. “I’ll let you know as soon as I can form a single thought.”
“I love you so much, baby.” I nuzzle her neck and feel her love wrapping around me. “I know I tell you all the time, but thank you for loving and choosing me even when I had my head in my ass and didn’t see what was right in front of me. I can’t imagine my life without you in it.”
“I love you too. It’s always been you, Mav. There is no life for me without you in it.” She runs her hand softly through my hair, and I close my eyes to her touch.
“This is just the beginning of our love story, Bell. Our life is going to be filled with moments just like this, and hopefully, by next year, our love story will grow by one.” I move my hand and rub the side of her belly.
She lifts her head and looks down at me. Her blue eyes fill with tears, and I brush one away that escapes. “I want that more than anything.”
“Me too,” I smile. “Although, I’m not sure what is worse…a little me running around or a little you,” I laugh.
“God help us,” she laughs. Leaning down, her lips meet mine for a kiss. All it takes is one touch from her, and everything else disappears. As long as she’s by my side, I know we can handle whatever life throws our way.
Chapter Eleven
Travis and Sophia
SOPHIA
“You’ve gotto be kidding me.” I throw my cards down on the table and glare at my husband’s grinning face as he takes the poker pot once again. His grey eyes are filled with laughter as he winks at me from across the table.
“If you are a good girl, I’ll share it with you.”
“Too bad I’m not a good girl most of the time.” My bare foot reaches out and settles between his legs under the table. I rub the front of his jeans, and his eyes darken.
“I’m going to pretend you are always a good girl.” I hear my brother, Mav, clear his throat as he starts to gather the cards on the table to shuffle.
“She has you for a brother,” Bella laughs, “what did you expect? Trust me on this. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree on this one.”
“How do you think I feel? I’ve known Mav since before he knew what a dick was used for. Then, I got to hearexactlywhathe used it for many times over the past years. Now he’s engaged to my sister,” Noah mutters, and we all laugh.
“Then you should also know how well your sister is taken care of, and you should be extremely happy for her.” Mav winks at Bella, causing her to giggle.
“He has a good point,” Emma says, laughing at her husband’s eye-rolling.
“In his twisted way of thinking, I guess he does,” Noah chuckles when he sees Maverick’s grin. His dimples always seem to work and keep him out of trouble. I don’t know how many times our mom would cave and let him have his way when he flashed her those deep dimples and laid on the charm.
“Maybe we should just ask Travis. Am I a good girl or a bad girl?” I know I’m playing with fire, but I can’t help it. Get some wine into me, and I love to push my hot husband’s buttons. I rub my foot harder against him and smile when I feel him harden against me. His hand wraps around my sole and grips it tight.
“Depends on what I want you to be.” I blink, shocked that he would say that out loud, but then again, I should know better. He’s not one to shy away from a dare, and I did set him up perfectly for this one.
“Jesus,” Maverick mutters and starts to deal out the cards. The girls start laughing as I watch a smile play on Travis’s lips.
“Best answer ever,” Skye laughs as Cole chuckles in his drink before looking at the cards dealt to him.
I feel his hand start to rub my foot and force my eyes not to roll back in my head. His hands are deadly, even in a foot rub, as he hits all the spots that make me bite back a moan.
I pick up the cards in front of me and try to concentrate on the game and not what I feel growing bigger against the sole of my foot. I lay down three cards and keep my lousy pair of fours.
Travis peeks at his fanned cards with one hand and sets one aside. I roll my eyes at the one card sitting on the table and hear him softly chuckle.
Mav deals us our new cards, and I hide my smile when I see an ace and two more fours. I look over my cards at Travis, and he’s watching me with an amused look on his face. His black hat is on backward tonight, and his t-shirt stretches across his broad chest.Inkedis written across his heart with the logo of his tattoo business. A grin splits his face when he realizes I’m checking him out. He presses deeper into my sole and makes sure I feel what’s straining against his pants.
I narrow my eyes at him, and he just grins wider. I should never have played with fire with a damn pyromaniac.
“I don’t have shit,” Cole laughs, throwing his cards down.
“Me neither,” Emma sips her hot chocolate and waves at her discarded cards.
