Chapter 35

Hawk

Stella and I had justleft after taking the kids to Sadie and Gunner’s for the night. All the club kids were camped out in the living room with a try full of snacks, and the two dogs were happily snacking on bones from the barbeque.

“I feel bad about Sadie missing the party,” Stella remarked as we walked down the path away from the big house.

“She loves it, and between you and me, she doesn’t like the big parties. She’ll attend but usually leaves early. Hailey and Jacob too. They spend a lot of time alone in the evenings, so don’t be surprised if they duck out after a little while,” I explained as she and I walked together down the path.

“How rowdy do the parties get?” she asked, and I tugged her hand to slow her to a stop.

Pulling her close, I wrapped my arms around her waist and asked her, “Are you thinking about leaving early?”

Her blue eyes moved up to mine as she replied, “Does that mean we’ll have some alone time if I say yes?”

“Do you want alone time?” I inquired, and pressed my growing cock against her.

She rubbed against me slightly and whispered, “I think so.”

“Then fuck the party, let’s go back to the cabin,” I joked, and she lightly slapped my chest with laughter.

“We can’t be rude, but I won’t be upset if we don’t stay too long,” she admitted.

I tugged her closer and kissed her until we were both fighting for breath. All I’d ever wanted was to be able to worship her, and knowing she was on the same page was encouraging. I fully realized she may not be able to go through with the actual act, but I would show her my devotion until she passed out from pleasure.

I’d spoken with Grace earlier in the day, needing to see how I should handle what could be a freakout by Stella. She and Stella helped each other so much when they were with Rhys, so I hoped she could offer me some advice.

Her biggest caution was to look for signs of distress in Stella. She advised that I should take it slow and let her lead until I was sure she was okay. Then she warned me the actual act may trigger her and I should be prepared for her to have a breakdown. That was the last thing I wanted, but I was going to give her whatever she needed, and if she had issues, I would hold her until she was okay.

I also had Grace offer to speak to her if that happened, but I would never expose Stella and her issues to anyone. If she struggled, we stopped. If she panicked, we stopped. If she had flashbacks, we stopped.

But if she was on board, I planned to feast on her until the sun came up.

As we rejoined the party, the music cranked up from the band and a few of the brothers and their old ladies were dancing in front of the stage. Gunner was propped against the open door to the clubhouse, and we walked up to him.

“Is Sadie filling everyone with sugar?” he asked with a smile.

“They should be bouncing off the walls by now,” I warned, and he chuckled as he finished his beer.

“I’m going to check on them and I’ll be back in a while. Keep the place from going to hell before I get back,” Gunner joked as he turned and walked away.

“Do you want something to drink, darlin’?” I asked Stella, and she looked unsure. “I can grab you a soda, if that would be better.”

“A soda sounds good.”

I kept her hand in mine as we made our way through the crowd of brothers. The few who worked out of town or didn’t make breakfast were here tonight, so the place was packed and getting loud. The smell of weed filled the air as we made our way to the coolers of soda and water under the picnic pavilion. When we walked up, I saw Needles and Violet sitting across from Jackal and Rose.

“Grab us a seat and I’ll get our drinks,” I suggested, and Stella nodded before walking over to Rose’s side of the table.

Rose hugged Stella, and Violet began speaking with her as I grabbed two sodas from the cooler. If she wasn’t drinking, neither was I. I wanted to remember every moment of tonight, so alcohol could wait. When I sat down next to her, I saw she was smoking a blunt, and she turned to hand it to me.

I inhaled and passed it across the table to Needles. He was smiling, and it was a little creepy to see him so happy, but I knew it was Violet who made him that way. I’m sure I looked like a grinning fool around Stella, but when a man found the woman who filled his heart, he couldn’t help but be happy.

“Do you have any ink, Stella?” Needles asked, and she shook her head.
