Chapter 15
James
Watching her darknesstake over, seeing her strong enough to face not only Victor, but the painful truth of his sick and twisted revenge had the monster begging for more. I didn’t expect her to castrate him, and I fought not to flinch as I watched her remove his dick with one quick swipe of the sharp hunting knife. Amaya was stronger than she had ever given herself credit for and when this was all over, I was going to take her away from here for a while.
I watched her walk out of the warehouse and I felt one side of my face lift into a twisted smile. The long red dress flowed around her, and she looked like an angel of death that had completed their mission. Devlin’s gaze caught mine and he chuckled, shaking his head as the door to the stairs closed.
“She’s perfect for you.” He remarked and walked over to the table full of torture tools.
“Damn man. That chick is fucking hardcore.” One of the MC brothers remarked as he adjusted himself, looking queasy.
No man wants to see another lose their dick, but for what these sick fuckers put Natalia and Amaya through, they deserved that and so much more. Devlin clapped me on the back, and we stood in front of the four men, knowing they wouldn’t be alive for much longer. Victor was bleeding down his legs, his stump of a dick laying on the floor in the expanding pool of blood. He was pale and lifeless after throwing up and passing out.
The man who had rapist carved into his chest was going in and out and the other two men cried behind their gags, keeping their eyes locked to the floor. The room smelled like piss and blood, and I turned to Devlin.
“Do we still have any alcohol in the bag?” nodding to the first aid kit that we kept at the warehouse for emergencies.
He nodded and reached into the bag, pulling out a large bottle of alcohol. I took the lid off and tossed it over my shoulder as I walked up to the unconscious Victor. Slapping him, I waited until he blinked his eyes, confusion and pain etched on his twisted face. Tipping the bottle up, I let the alcohol pour over his bleeding stump and he let loose a blood-curdling scream into the room.
“Ahh! Stop! God, please stop!” he cried, and I punched him in the face with all the strength I could muster. Blood poured from his mouth and he stammered, trying to speak but unable to get the words past his lips.
Screaming into his face, “Did you stop when Natalia begged you to? Did you stop when she was lifeless on the floor? Did you stop when you trick my woman into selling herself just so you could have your twisted revenge? Did you stop when your sick fucking lawyer kidnapped her?”
The two men hanging on the end were struggling against their bonds and Devlin walked up to them. They looked at him with tears in their eyes as he pulled his gun from his hip holster and fired twice into each man’s body. Once in the crotch and once in the heart. The man with the carving on his chest tried to back away, and I grabbed the knife from the bloody pool at Victor’s feet and stepped up to him.
Grasping his hair, I bent his head backward and drew the bloody blade across his throat. The foamy blood started seeping from his mouth as he gurgled, fighting for air. A red river flowed down his chest and I watched as the life drained from his eyes.
Victor was quivering as I moved back to him. My voice was deadly low as the monster stared fully at Victor’s pathetic existence. “From this moment forward, she’ll never have to worry about you again. When you get to hell, tell the devil I said hi.”
With a thrust, I sunk the blade into his heart and twisted, feeling bone and muscle rip inside of his chest. Pulling it back, he gasped as his blood poured out, slowing extinguishing the evil that he was. Turning from the four dead bodies, I looked at my brother.
“Where’s that goddamn lawyer?” I threw the knife to the floor and stormed out of the warehouse.
My vision was hazy red as I stepped into the fresh air, the last rays of sun casting long shadows over the parking lot. I clenched my fists and fought to level my breathing out. The rage was still pulsing through me and I didn’t want to take that energy back to Amaya. Once I had her in my arms, I wouldn’t let her go.
Devlin joined me a few minutes later, the DeathHounds trailing behind him. He stepped up next to me and spoke. “The lawyer was caught just outside Lincolnville.”
I nodded and cut my eyes to him, my rage at the whole injustice burning a hole in my gut. “The world is full of sick people, Devlin. How do we protect our women from them?”
He gripped me by the shoulders and turned me to face him. “We hold them tightly, we fight the demons that nip at their heels, and we never stop loving them. We can’t destroy all the evil that exists, but we can shelter them, and kill anyone who hurts them.”
“When did you get so smart?”
“About the time I finally made Elise mine.” He chuckled and I felt lighter inside. He nudged my shoulder and suggested. “Let’s go home. The lawyer can wait until tomorrow. Tonight, Amaya needs you. She’s going to shatter, and you will have to be there to pick up the pieces and put her back together.”
One of our associates pulled up a few minutes later and drove Devlin and me away from the warehouse. The DeathHounds pulled out, heading in the opposite direction, their loud motorcycles roaring down the road. I looked at Devlin. “You know Skid’s ‘debt’ is clear, right?”
He sighed deeply. “I know and I’ll hate to see him go.”
“He won’t ever fully leave us, but it’s time for him to rejoin his brothers.”
“We can tell him tomorrow.” Devlin remarked as we pulled into the underground parking garage.
The elevator ride was quiet, and I shook his hand as I exited on my floor, unsure how to express my gratitude to him. Unlocking the secure door, I found Skid sitting at the table near the sliding glass door that led to the large balcony. He had Nova the cock blocking cat in his lap and he turned, smiling sadly at me.
“I thought the cat might make her feel better, so I stopped by her house and picked him up.” Skid was one of the toughest men I had ever met, but knowing what the sisters went through was enough to weaken even the hardest of men.
