“Your tongue,” she muttered under her breath, moaning at the thought of it coarsely running over her nipples.
“You like my tongue?” Thierry growled, “Gargoyle shifters can shift and transform any body part to whatever texture they wish. I will run it over every fucking inch of you.”
Wetness rushed between her legs at the sight of the professor’s lust-stricken expression.
“I—I…” Nix’s breaths came out in rushed pants as her heartbeat raced. A sense of dizziness joined the waves crashing over her.Uh oh. “Um…”
Thierry’s face blurred in front of her.
Her sense of gravity tilted.
Was the sudden dizziness a side effect of taking two reversal potions within the same day, against the advice of her potions professor? Or was the dizzy spell simply from exhaustion?
“Whoa, there.” Bael gripped her hips, and Thierry palmed the sides of her waist as she bowed over. “Okay, I see how it is, sleeping beauty.”
“Bedtime?” Thierry asked her and tenderly kissed her cheek as the world spun around her. As if the two of them hadn’t just been in the middle of a hot seduction.
Bael smiled against her neck and flicked his tongue over her earlobe. “Thankfully, we can continue this in your dreams.”

CHAPTER
Nix jerked awake in the middle of history class. Professor Thierry taught, as normal, from the front of the classroom. “And, if you read chapter ten as assigned…”
Nix rubbed her eyes and glanced at where Bael sat beside her. He lounged back and grinned at her.
“Is this…real?” she asked.
Reminding her of the mischievous, grinning Cheshire Cat fromAlice in Wonderland, Bael shot back, “To who?”
“Miss Oadess, can you answer the question?” Thierry asked from in front of a no-longer-cracked chalkboard.
Shit. She had not heard the question. “Um, could you repeat it, Professor?”
Thierry’s lips pressed down into a disappointed frown. “You wish me to repeat the question?”
“Um, yes, please,” she said, blushing under the impatient gazes of her classmates.
“Why do you wish me to repeat the question, Miss Oadess?” Professor Thierry asked.
Nix’s face was surely crimson red by now. “I…didn’t hear it?”
“You were not listening to my lecture, Miss Oadess?” he asked her and walked up to stand right behind his desk.
“Uh…”
“Did youfall asleepduring my class?”
That did appear to be the case. “N-No, I just—”
Professor Thierry tapped his fingers against his desk and tsk-tsked. “And now you are trying to lie to me?”
Nix bit her lip and shot a desperate expression to Bael. The incubus silently chuckled at the spectacle.Damn drama-loving demon. “Sir—”
“Come to the front to address the class, Miss Oadess.” Thierry gestured for her to walk to his desk.
She swallowed.Well, this is becoming humiliating. On shaky legs, she stumbled up to the front where Professor Thierry loomed over his desk. Both of his palms were planted, flat, on the smooth wood.
