She leans forward to press a soft kiss to my neck. “Is it that you lied about being in a relationship?”

“No,” I say, resisting every urge I have to rip off her dress and fuck her senseless.

Another kiss. “Is it anything that could physically hurt me?”

“No.”

Her eyes find mine. “Then, don’t tell me. You don’t have to give me your life story. This is supposed to be fun. Don’t overthink it.”

She kisses me one more time—this time, pressing her lips to mine. It’s soft at first, but she immediately opens for me, letting my tongue dip inside. One kiss has me beyond convinced that this woman will be a wild ride.

My fingers grab her ass, pulling her closer and trying to get as much contact as I can.

When she lets out a sexy moan into my mouth, I know there’s no going back. Maybe I’m just horny, but in this moment, I want Ronnie more than I’ve ever wanted anything.

So, when she pulls back and asks, “So, what’s it going to be? Are you ready to get into some trouble?” I know there’s only one answer.

“Hell, yeah.”

What are you Waiting for?

Ronnie

Now, I know what you’re thinking…

Ronnie, you don’t even know this guy. Why are you going to sleep with him?

Look, this is not my first rodeo with meeting a guy and seeing where the night takes us. After certain events in my life, I’ve learned that life is indeed short. I’m going to spend my brief time enjoying all of the experiences that I can. Sometimes, those experiences occur out of the confines of pants.

But Ronnie, you’re going to take him back to your house?

I’d feel way better taking him back to my house rather than going to his. I’m a woman who travels the world, most of the time by herself. Not only am I trained in self-defense, but I also have assorted weapons scattered throughout my home.

My point is that I’m not worried. All I can think about right now is Drew and all the sparks that flew when we kissed. I tend to be a woman who leads by how she feels. And his kiss gave me the tingles absolutely everywhere.

Hopefully, that’s a good sign.

“You okay?” Drew asks me from the driver’s seat. “If you want to call this off, you just say the word.”

Well, that IS a good sign.

I also take it as a good sign that he’s friends with Jack. Jack is one of the best men that I know.

“Not a chance,” I tell him. “I’m good. Just thinking this drive is taking forever.” I give him a wink to let him know I’m just being silly. The drive from the town square to my new home is just about five minutes.

I didn’t drive to the wedding, so I opted to drive with Drew back home. It’s faster than walking.

“Turn right here,” I tell him, and he does as I direct. “Where about do you live?”

“I got a little place over off Oak.”

I direct him a couple more times until we are pulling into my driveway.

We get out of his pickup truck and head for the front door.

As I’m unlocking it, he says, “Do you know how great your ass looks in that dress?”
