Caine linked, “Seriously? They can’t give Ads ONE day?” I replied, “Yeah, I know… it’s a whole ordeal… maybe have Rena pop you to the dungeons and punch Edward before you go home today. I don’t know why… but I blame him.” Caine snorted.

I jumped down from the tree which had a Warlock coming out to try and cast a spell on me. I rolled my eyes and engaged him in a fairly quick fight. Unlike Paige, these people didn’t learn how to fight with more than their powers. Which was a serious mistake on their part, in my opinion.

I was jogging back to Valentina when another Warlock stepped out with a fancy sniper rifle and took aim. I didn’t even have to think about who it was aimed at because I knew it would be Jason. Fury overtook me and Freya growled in my head.

I ran at the Warlock and moved the gun into the air before I snapped his neck. The clicks were getting more intense. I looked through the scope of the stolen rifle. Valentina shimmered next to me. She whispered, “Your Xander is on his way towards us.”

I shot rapid fire taking out the snipers and a few Witches. Ten in total. Valentina said, “I used your code to figure out who the real target is. It’s Alpha Theo’s Bartlett’s pack. We both know the man that has long since wanted Alpha Theo’s territory.”

I felt the blood leave my face because we did know who wanted his territory. I whispered, “It’s Alpha Theo’s youngest daughter’s birthday today.” Valentina cringed but said, “Crush and Virgil are waiting back at your place.”

I grabbed her hand, and she shimmered us away. I nodded to Virgil and Crush and ran out into the yard. I yelled, “BLACK MOUNTAIN, ALL WARRIORS ON ME NOW!” People came running from every direction. KJ said, “Uhh you were supposed to be in Red Run.” I replied, “Well, I’m not… so… that’s a thing.”

I watched Liam run up. I told him, “I need you to take fifty of the Warriors with you to Red Run. Virgil and Crush will shimmer you guys in. Your Alpha’s and Luna’s are under attack, but it’s a distraction. I need your BEST trackers with me. Along with….” I trailed off realizing I needed more information.

I checked my watch knowing Valentina would have sent me the numbers of what the Ring was sending at Alpha Theo. I growled when I saw them. Alpha Ezra was trying to take over and had taken hundreds of rogues.

Luckily, I knew Black Mountains Warrior numbers. I announced, “I need three hundred Warriors with me. The rest need to remain on alert here. The real attack is going down at Alpha Theo’s pack. You guys need to end the fight in Red Run and get to us. This is a big attack that is intent on taking over Alpha Theo’s pack and wiping out his family.”

The Warriors growled as Liam and his family quickly split out the groups. I walked over to Virgil and Crush. I told Crush, “You stick by my mom. Nothing gets near her. Do you understand?” My palms were sweating again. Crush nodded, “I will make sure no one hurts your mom, Mel.” I had to believe that.

I wasn’t there in my dreams, but I knew the fight I kept seeing wasn’t in Red Run; however, it couldn't hurt to make sure she was protected. I told Virgil, “You go get our guy as soon as the fight ends. I have no doubt his dad put him in the dungeons so he wouldn't interfere. You get him out and to the fight so he can take over the pack.”

Liam questioned, “You have someone to take over the pack attacking Alpha Theo already?” I nodded, “Yes, his son. Well, one of them. Some of them suck… but he is the oldest… so it works out.” Liam argued, “Alpha Ezra doesn’t have a son.”

I squeaked, “Uhh Alpha Ezra….who said that?” Liam replied, “You did when you were looking through your information to figure out how many Warriors to bring with you.” Ugh! Talking out loud when I didn’t mean to was the worst.

Liam prodded, “And about this son Alpha Ezra doesn’t have?” I snorted, “Ezra doesn’t have a son with his mate, but…” KJ interrupted, “He doesn’t have a mate.” I hummed, “Umm… that’s not true… at all… but they don’t have pups… so… you know what? I don’t have time to explain the practices of how he runs his pack. Ezra’s son is a good man, and he’s taking over.” Everyone nodded.

Cory Henderson came over to our side with KJ… I guess he was sticking with me. Freya said, “His wolf is adorable in telling me how we will stay by our side.” That was not the plan at all. I told the other group before they left, “Nothing happens to my mate… or my family. Understood? You protect your Alpha’s and your allies.” Everyone nodded and they were shimmered out.

I turned to my group asking, “Who are the best trackers?” They came forward. I handed each of them a spray that Paige and I developed to make holoports visible. I told them, “On the side Alpha Theo and his family will be standing on… much further back into the tree line is an escape route… you will go to that area... use that spray to find the holoports. Then… guard them. Who are ten of the strongest fighters?” They came over.

I asked, “Cory, aren’t you in the…?” He snorted interrupting, “Yeah, I’m with you and that’s understood by this group.” I sighed, “Ok then.” I turned to the Warriors who’d stepped out telling them, “You are with the Trackers to guard them until I draw Alpha Ezra into the open.” They gasped.

KJ asked, “You plan to draw Alpha Ezra out? I nodded, “Yes.” Someone snorted, “Alpha Ezra has clearly gone off the deep end.” I hummed, “I’m sure… me being here… probably sent him into a spiral… so… true… anyway… once I draw him out into the open, five of the Warriors guarding the trackers can join the fight.”

One started to ask so I explained, “I don’t care how you decide who does that. The leadership of their pack will be coming for who is left to try and escape. I really don’t care how you choose to stop them, but ANYONE who comes for those holoports, does NOT get to safety. Are we clear?” They nodded.

I turned back to the larger group, “The rest of you… will form a giant circle in the tree line. There WILL be rogues around you. If you see them kill them quietly. You will wait for my signal to come out. How they will attack will be to send the rogues to tire out the pack, then Alpha Ezra’s pack will come.”

I explained, “We are going to surround them, so we are coming at them from the inside and out. No matter what… you HOLD until I tell you to attack. Now, fifty of you will be coming into the fight initially with me. Cory, can you make those assignments?” I wasn’t surprised when he assigned himself to join me… given his whole ‘I’m with you’ thing earlier… KJ was also clearly with me.

Valentina threw me a sniper rifle and my gear. I quickly put on my bullet proof vest and strapped myself down with weapons from what she’d brought. I told the Warriors, “We are all coming back here today. Do you understand me?” They nodded.

I instructed, “Fight like you have been trained. We will NOT go down at the hands of the Ring, Rogues, or an Alpha who doesn’t deserve the title. Is everyone clear on that?” They nodded again. I grinned saying, “Let’s go then.”

I turned to the pack members who were staying behind. I said, “Non-fighters, you stay inside. Call our allies and make sure they are on alert. Anyone who can get ahold of allies that are fighters and get to Alpha Theo’s pack… well… we could use the numbers.”

“Warriors, you guard our borders. No one gets inside that doesn’t belong.” They howled in agreement. I nodded to Valentina and said, “You’re up.” Cory said, “I can pop us in.” I replied, “That’s loud and announcing our presence… Val can do it silently.” He smirked at me.

We joined with our Warriors and shimmered near our holoport here. When I nodded, Valentina began shimmering the Warriors into the areas we wanted them. I surveyed the area and quickly noticed I was too far away from Lux.

I saw the slight shimmer of the sniper rifle and felt in my bones who they were going for first. I yelled, “LUX, GET DOWN!” I took aim and fired as the sniper hit the building behind Lux. He’d listened and ducked like I knew he would.

I shot the sniper and fired in quick succession. I yelled, “ALPHA THEO, IT’S A HOSTILE ATTEMPT TO TAKE OVER YOUR PACK!” I threw my rifle to Valentina who had shimmered back. I took off running yelling, “NON FIGHTERS, TAKE COVER NOW!”

My focus was on Alpha Theo’s daughter, Mae, and his pregnant Luna. They were the furthest away from the group. Rogues began to run in from the tree line. Alpha Theo’s mate, Luna Anne, looked across to him in a panic. He was running to her, but he was too far away.
