Eventually, we continued our own fights, but we were still watching her. My possessiveness was spiking. Several guys were admiring her, and I snarled at more than a few. She’d pinned Ludvig countless times. It had to be because she was unmarked that the position bothered me so much. Because every time she pinned him the desire to claim her as mine doubled.
Elias stepped into my ring as multiple men started to line up to fight Melanie. I was practically vibrating. Elias announced, “I think we should call this fight now, brother.” His brother, Edver, laughed, “I suppose that is his mate then.” I answered, “She is.” Several people immediately averted their eyes.
Edver laughed, “Some guys just get all the luck, brother. She is stunning and a good fighter to boot.” Phil shot me a wink then jumped into the ring with Melanie. Oden said, “Rocket is having too much fun.” I noticed.
Sierra came over to our group. She smiled teasing, “I told her you guys weren’t ready for her. No one ever is.” She waved her hand laughing, “You should've seen the look on everyone’s faces when she pinned Gamma McCann, the Beta, then the Alpha at the Female Lead Warrior tournament. It was hilarious.” I wished I had because I would’ve exploded their damn head to smithereens.
Elias snorted, “I think it’s safe to say, you are correct. We were not prepared.” Sierra smirked, “She was offered a position in the Hackura Army. She’s that good.” My head snapped in her direction asking, “She was what?” Sierra nodded, “Yup. She impressed the Commander himself.” Cayden and I were having a talk.
Oden snorted, “Our Beta has decided to call our mate Shley.” He would. Sierra laughed, “What is his deal with names?” I raised an eyebrow dryly replying, “Pot meet kettle. You growl every time he calls you by yours.” Sierra shrugged.
Elias linked me, “Is her real name not Samantha then?” I answered, “No. her real name is Sierra Kiern.” Elias snorted, “Is Ashley’s real name Ashley?” I admitted, “No.” Elias pressed, “But you know what it is.” I nodded.
Elias continued questioning, “Does she know that you know that?” I said, “No, she doesn’t. She wants to live in our bubble until I come home from my mission for my uncle.” Elias asked, “And you’re going to do just that, aren’t you?”
I shot him a look answering, “What do you think? If your mate asked you, what would you do?” Elias winked linking, “I’d suck it up with a smile and give her anything she asked for.” I nodded, “Exactly. That’s what I’m going to do.”
All while I theorized the hell out of everything and plotted a mass murder. Gage was right. We might as well call it war at this point. A brutal war in which I slaughtered everyone and lead my Squadron from the Hackura realm and Warriors from the pack beside me.
Jaws were on the floor when Melanie beat Phil. I was holding Oden back from claiming her here and now. Elias said, “It would appear your mate knows your moves, Alexander. I’ve seen you fight like that before.”
Sierra snorted, “Alexander’s word is the literal gospel to Ashley. She viewed every single video he put out and memorized them until the moves were muscle memory.” I chuckled, “And she watched my reels on repeat.” Sierra bit her lip.
Elias asked, “I would assume you mean the thirst traps.” I answered, “You assume correctly.” He laughed, “I see. My Beta and I thought you’d be mad when you found out about those. I now understand why you weren’t.”
Sierra asked, “You knew she was watching those?” I replied, “I know the top ten accounts who view my content and who they trace back to.” All of which were her, I just didn’t know Ashley was Melanie until now. Sierra’s jaw dropped and she studied me intently.
I jumped into the ring with my mate. Oden bragged, “Mate learned from us even though we weren’t with her. All of our top ten accounts are mate. She is proud of us and thinks we are hot.” He was right and I couldn’t be prouder of her for using all these moves. She’d learned so much, and she did it from videos. She was fierce.
Phil linked me, “She’s scary good.” I chuckled, “So I’ve noticed.” Phil admitted “I’m more curious if you can fight her with that raging hard on. It will be impressive either way. I won’t cut you any slack due to the raging hard you’ve got going on either.” I rolled my eyes.
I pushed harder than I normally would in a first fight against someone. Which was not something I thought I’d have sparring with my mate. Melanie was really fast. Oden’s pride matched my own. We weren’t fighting to hurt each other. Hurting her was unfathomable to me. Sparring like this though, god it was intoxicating.
We were blocking each other’s moves. In fact, she’d almost had me, but at the last minute I flipped her pinning her beneath me. I kissed her as many people in the gym cheered. I knew there were several men cheers tinged with jealousy.
They wanted what was mine, but they could fuck off. They couldn’t have my Lovebug. I linked Phil, “The fuck does your mate mean mine was waiting for a guy who could beat her in a fight? She is MINE!” Phil replied, “Uh huh. Do us all a solid and pop home before you claim her.” I growled at him.
He continued, “No, really pop on out. Elias just texted me they really their need their gym today. They plan to use Melanie kicking their asses for extra training since they are all jazzed up.”
“Also, we already discussed that my mate told me that Melanie always said you were her mate. So, before you go all possessive Alpha male, my mate was talking about you.” I popped us out without answering him.
I instantly pounced on Melanie in our bedroom. Oden growled in my head, “Mark mate!” I argued, “We can’t! She’s not ready.” Oden was practically pacing in my head. He said, “She’s not ready because she doesn’t think we know who she is BUT WE DO!” I could understand his frustration because we did know, but she didn’t know that.
I buried my head between her thighs. I could acknowledge prior to today, I’d never been so distracted in a gym. She captivated me. Mind, body, and soul. She stunned me by giving me a blow job. I couldn’t last more than a few minutes. Her doe eyed innocent look with her mouth around my cock meant I was practically already done for after watching her in the gym for several hours.
Watching her on top of other men. FUCK! I nearly growled thinking about it. When I came, I almost said her name. Herrealname. I barely managed to stop myself, so it sounded like I said ‘me,’ instead of Mel. Oden mocked, “Smooth. Real smooth.” Obnoxious wolf!
I kept going so she wouldn’t ask questions, but also because the deep drive inside me. I knew there were men in there who wanted her, but she was mine. That bastard in her pack wanted her, but he would die soon. I only settled when she said she was mine. Whatever was holding her back, it wasn’t about being resistant to being mine.
When I came, I felt my teeth elongate and began to itch. I longed to bury them in her neck. I conjured a pillow and ripped it to shreds then snapped it all clean. I’d not meant to be that possessive with her. I just couldn’t help it.
I used my Fairy sense as a healer to reassure myself she was perfectly fine. There was nothing to heal. She was going to be the death of me because logically she fought like that all the time. She had to. I explained some things to my her.
Oden growled, “Mate has to know we are aware those were fighting moves. If there had been anything sexual happening in that gym, there would be a lot of dead members in Elias’ pack.” I knew that but somehow it didn’t really seem like she understood.
Her eyes were drifting shut. I held her as she fell asleep. I linked Oden, “Is she slightly asleep or deep?” Oden answered, “She’s out, really out.” I conjured my phone without bothering to check anything on it. I just wanted to make a call.
I called my cousin, Spencer, my Uncle Marcus’ son. He answered immediately, “Alexander, I’m surprised to get your call. Everyone around here wants to talk to you, and yet you call me.” I rolled my eyes admitting, “I’m conjuring my phone back to my room after this conversation and I won’t be calling anyone else. I need a favor.”
