Fromer Beta Dylan shrieked, “To quote my goddess, EXFUCKINGCUSE ME?!” I was right… he never met me…so…it’s fine. Freya hummed. That was not helpful. Former Beta Dylan continued, “Moody Triplet, what the actual what is happening?! Is it an alternate dimension day? Are we in the Ribbon? YAY! My wishes do come true!”

Xander growled “No, it’s not the Ribbon.” Former Beta Dylan sighed. Claire sneered, “So she’s from some shitty pack, and she’s a wolf less piece of crap shunned by the Moon Goddess wolf doesn’t belong with Alexander.”

I growled, “Use his title you HORRID cow. Get your butt in the ring.” No one would talk about him so disrespectfully in my presence. Claire snarled, “You have no wolf.” Freya growled, “Let me at her.” I replied, “Nope. She’s all mine. She doesn’t deserve to know about you.” I didn’t respond out loud.

Claire sneered, “The Moon Goddess herself finds you unworthy.” I snorted, “You already said that. Was I supposed to curl in a ball and cry? Did you hope to see sad tears of sorrow because some HORRIBLE goddess, not worth… anything… literally she’s worthless, doesn’t like me?”

“What is she the goddess of exactly? Sitting on her butt and doing nothing all day? I’m not impressed by her so I could give a crap less what she thinks about me. I don’t care if she didn’t find me worthy of anything… because SHE is not worthy to be worshiped by anyone.”

I heard a bucket, of presumably popcorn, hitting the ground. Several people making noises of shock. Claire gasped, “You can’t say that!” I laughed mockingly, “I think you’ll find I just did. So, I can… obviously. That was obvious. You should work on taking those cues.”

I turned around to face her knowing her friend was coming up behind me. Well, three of them were anyway. Cowards. I waited. I sighed, “I haven’t got all day, you know? This is a boring challenge.” Claire smirked like she’d won something by standing there.

I flipped her first friend over harder than necessary. I followed that move up with a karate chop to the throat on the second. Lastly, I round house kicked the third in the head. I sighed, “Sneaking up behind me… is lame, and it shows your cowardice. Don’t let her lead you down that path. Get up and get out from her influence.”

I faced Claire, “You don’t deserve to be a Luna leading people that way. Not to mention sixteen on one… after you issued a single challenge for yourself is… gosh… there are too many adjectives to pick… I’ll stick with you’re pathetic.” I heard a laugh I knew.

I looked over and locked eyes with Paisley. She’d come into the gym. I smiled at her and she winked back. Claire growled while I rolled my eyes. I knew another member of their group was sneaking up behind me. I did a back kick, followed by a round house.

I asked her, “Seriously? Do you know the definition of insanity? I know there’s one more person behind me. She should stop.” She did. She said, “I remove my challenge. That I didn’t even issue in the freaking first place.”

I bobbed my head saying, “Well... one out of sixteen of you is smart. Good for you….. statistically speaking that’s below the average so…that’s not good for you all.” Claire growled at the woman, “Traitor.”

I snorted, “You’re not from here… are you? This isn’t your pack… right?” Freya snorted, “We know whose pack she’s from.” I did but I was being evasive to prove a point. Claire shouted, “It will be!” Freya said, “She is LUCKY I don’t rip out of you and RIP her head off.” She definitely was.

I laughed, “No, it won’t be your pack, Claire. You pissed off every Warrior in here when you insulted their Alpha. Over videos he made that ACTUALLY made a difference in our community. They are proud of him, and they should be. He makes a difference. He gives the Alpha name its true meaning.”

Also, she’d be with him over my dead body. Xander deserved better than this woman. She snorted, “You think he’ll end up with a wolf less girl? He deserves better.” I didn’t disagree that he deserved better than me, but not because I was wolf less. Because of what my actions caused to my family. Freya grumbled, “You are not wolf less.” Also true.

This time I dislocated the shoulder of the girl sneaking up behind me. I yawned, “Do you have other moves? The whole’ send a group, then one behind me’ thing... it’s really boring.” One girl was slowly inching backwards away from me with wide eyes. Smart.

Three of them rushed me at the same time. I shook my head before easily taking them down. Claire looked furious. I questioned, “What pack are you from?” She answered, “Alpha Theo Bartlett’s.” Freya growled, “We knew that.” Yes, I did, but I felt bad for them.

I commented, “That’s a shame. I like him. I know he’d train you better than this. Do you and your friends skip work outs? I’ll just bet you do. You think you’re too important for such things. Don’t you?” She scoffed, “I AM!”

I laughed, “And you want to be an Alpha Enforcer’s chosen? None of his Warriors would respect you with that attitude. They wouldn’t care if you didn’t like to fight, but that you see it as beneath you means that’s how you see them and their Alpha.”

I growled, “These people protect their pack. They work hard for the HONOR to be named Warrior. Just like your father you were talking about. I hope he never finds out how you really see him. Also, not to point out the glaringly obvious but... you all DESPERATELY need training.”

“You have the right idea just pointed in the wrong direction. Instead of being desperate and thirsty over someone who isn’t yours… try dedicating that energy to training. It will better serve all of you.” Several laughs filled the air. Claire snarled at me.

I fake shook, “I’m quivering in fear over your pup growl.” Xander snarled. Someone scoffed, “Wow. She’s the worst liar ever.” Sierra shouted, “Hell yeah, she is! We love that about Ashley.” I did not love it…..in fact I found it rather irritating.

I took the rest of her friends down except the two by her side. There were cheers coming my direction from Black Mountain’s pack members. When Claire looked over towards one group, I did too. Xander’s eyes were on mine. I smiled at him while Claire growled.

She shouted, “HE’S MINE!” I whirled around to her. I demanded, “STOP SAYING THAT! No, he’s not!” She shrieked, “He kissed me.” Yes, she’d said that earlier which meant, based on his story, I knew exactly what happened.

I snorted, “You kissed him when he was drunk…by all accounts he didn’t kiss you back. He’s had sex with me and kisses me all time…. Willingly even. So, I’m pretty sure I win….in the whole who he is interested in competition you want to have.” Freya agreed, “We do win.” The gym collectively lost it.

Claire dropped something out of her pocket. I linked Sierra, “This is why I don’t take vacations. Someone gave her THE RING dome! THE RING!” She replied, “Just kill her. It’s fine because you’re the one she’s using it on. Consider this a side mission.” I did.

Claire warned, “He’ll watch you die. He’s mine.” I glared at her warning, “I will tell you ONE MORE TIME… STOP SAYING THAT. Also… you… kill me? Really? As if someone like you could kill me. That’s cute. People say that to me when I’m missing obvious things a lot… so, that’s how I’m using it. IRONICALLY. It’s sad that you still believe that you could hurt me let alone kill me.”

She blew dust in my face. I wanted to shout, “Cheaters never win.” My dad used to tell me that all the time, but I didn’t. I could smell that it was Silver. Freya snickered. I stared at Claire asking, “What is your problem? Because there is something wrong in your brain… you are aware of that. Yes?”

She shouted, “YOU FREAK!” I punched her in the face enjoying when her head snapped back. I commented, “You are hardly the first person to call me that. Also, you have issues. You should see someone about that… should you live… which seems unlikely at this point….there are defiantly dead therapists in hell though so…seek help wherever you end up.” Freya cackled in my head.

I heard a grunt of pain that made my heart stop. It was Xander. I whirled around and saw him on the outside of the dome Claire had put us in. Xander must have run at it which burned him. He was hurt. His skin was burned.
