I replied, “Umm hard pass…. Very much hard pass…. On any of that.” His eyes were now pitch black and he’d partially shifted. He came at me claws out. I backed up deciding to use the cage against him. His claws would get caught. When my back hit it, I waited.
He snarled, “You’re dead.” I replied, “Not quite… I mean… not even close really…” He swung and I ducked at the last second and put all my weight into the kick on his knee and heard it dislocate. I pinned him and the supposed ref ran into the cage and counted them both down.
He shouted, “Your winner, continuing her winning streak, is SWWWWIIIFFFFFEEERRRRR!” The cage lifted and I jumped out. I called, “Mom!” I ran to the woman I’d thought was her and jolted back. I apologized, “Sorry.” She shrugged, “You’ve got a concussion and blood in your eyes. Maybe don’t let people kick your ass when you can fight as well as you do.” She didn’t get it.
Trevor snorted, “She’s a weak ass bitch.” The woman laughed, “You need your eyes checked young man. This here is a bad ass fighting bitch.” She nodded to me and left. I walked to the back and was seen by the doctor. I hobbled to the leaders office afterwards. He shouted, “A damn accident and they blew up a damn car and cost me two fights tonight! You’re lucky the Twin Terrors went down to our new fighter. Everyone was enthralled.” I cleared my throat, and he hung up.
He told me, “I’ll give you a percentage IF you bring in a certain dollar amount.” I replied, “You’ll give it to me anyway… because… well… I’m blackmailing you… so…” He pulled a gun and pointed it at me. I didn’t move.
He realized, “Good god pup, don’t you fear death?” I answered, “Nope… which makes me very dangerous.” He jolted, “Huh?” I said, “The person that’s the most dangerous… in most situations… is the person with nothing to lose. Everyone around me wants me to fear death… but I don’t. My family wishes me dead with every conversation we have… so…” He put the gun away, “Fine. Get out of here.” Gladly.
I headed back to the back. Aunt Stephanie saw me and screeched, “You’re alive?” I replied, “Obviously… though I could see why you think I’d haunt you if I died… I so would…” She screamed, “EDWARD!” She stomped off.
Lead Warrior Buck said, “Here, pup.” He handed me a towel and walked off. He went and swung his sister, Avery, around. She shot me an unimpressed look. She animatedly told Buck all about her day. He looked at her how Jason used to look at me. I turned away because it hurt. I was happy she had though. I didn’t see many siblings’ bonds other than my friends.
I went to Hendrick’s house. Mason was there waiting with Celia. They both gasped. Celia groaned, “Pup, what on earth…” I answered, “I fought twin Alpha’s.” They stared at me in horror. I winked, “You should see them. I mean they lost, and theyhave Alpha blood so… they are definitely pissed…we can safely assume they did not join the Melanie fan club.” Celia treated me and everyone joined us.
Hendrick dropped his coffee when he saw me. Addison screamed. Dax growled, “Who did this?” I answered, “Uhh… well… through a series of events… they didn’t give their names… but they called them Alpha Terrors.” Addison flinched.
Caine snarled, “Good.” I asked, “Do you know them?” Addison replied, “They want me to be their shared mate.” I pointed out, “No Werewolf has ever shared a mate… like… ever. I actually think it’s because wolves are too possessive and…”
Caine interrupted, “They’ve had multiple shared mates.” I blinked asking, “They have a harem? That’s weird for wolves… and…” Dax said, “No their mates are dead. Everyone thinks it’s them that’s killing them.” I considered it, “Was anyone a fated mate?” Dax answered, “No.”
I nodded, “Then they probably can share while together but having separate time leads to the other killing the mate… which would probably be why no fated Werewolf pair has ever had more than two people in it.” Addison wiped tears away.
I told her, “They won’t touch you. I’ll keep you safe… like I did Sierra.” Hendrick said, “They are actual Alpha’s. Not just an Alpha blood.” I asked, “Yeah, how did Clay have Alpha blood but he’s not all black? Like the Conners don’t… but that’s…” They cut me off, “He’s the Alpha’s son but not the Luna’s.” I nodded, “Like Future Alpha Lux Bar…”
Mason jumped in, “No, Clay is the son of the Alpha but not the Luna. She’s alive. He’s the product of him raping a she wolf in heat.” I gasped, “What?” They nodded and I rubbed my temples. I waved, “Well, they won’t touch you Ads. I took them down tonight… I’ll do it again if necessary.”
Dax whispered, “You’re so awesome.” Caine agreed, “I’m jealous.” I said, “We’ll get you there… you guys are doing reallywell… and it’s not your fault you were never trained. It’s really irresponsible of…” Their dads.
Caine waved, “We know it is. They don’t like that we have, and I quote, dreamer plans of how to change things.” I reasoned, “You already are. What happened with the fighters?” Caine answered, “Virgil got the bodies you needed. He delights in setting things on fire.”
I hummed, “He is a Demon so…that makes complete sense.” Cain chuckled, “I caused a diversion which had them crashing. We got the fighters out and up it went. They are on a bus going to their cousins pack they swear will hide them.” I nodded, “Ok… that’s fine… hopefully they are right.”
Life got into a routine. I would save people, get whipped, beaten, bullied, and thrown in the hole. Honestly, I’d prefer it all to the hole. I spent time with my friends. Mason taught me to ride a motorcycle. I trained with Dax and Caine and danced in the field.
I’d become the whispered voice of the forgotten. I’d stopped three girls in our pack from being forcibly mated since Sierra. I’d stopped four more at the Underground fights from other packs. It had been a while since I’d been hit though. I knew that was changing today based on a tip I was acting on.
I didn’t want to go into the Nashville coven today. I’d actually rather chew nails, but I’d received a tip that someone was being held against their will. It wasn’t a solid tip, but it was enough to bother me. People knew that I would help people out, so tips came in often.
It bothered a lot of people, and I walked into a lot of traps. The coven in question, Shadow Vice, was no fan of mine. I’d kicked a few of their coven members' butts a few months ago. It wasn’t my fault they didn’t understand that they should learn more than spells. Self-defense for example would be handy for them to learn but they didn’t.
The ones I’d come against were horrible with their magic. Not one of their spells did anything to me. It was sad, honestly. Then they couldn’t even attempt to block a hit. I tapped my fingers on my desk in Mason’s office, then I groaned and hit it.
I knew I couldn’t ignore the darn tip. I walked over and knocked on the closet in a particular way to cause it to open. I strapped myself down with weapons. Someone in their coven probably wasn’t completely crap… which meant the tip could be correct.
I sent a text to Addison and Caine telling them to get eyes on the coven. We had done recon on them before, so we had their highest traffic times. I’d like to avoid that if I could. Obviously, if it wasn’t possible then I’d just be going in whenever. I wasn’t going to let someone suffer.
I stared at the tip. It was vague. It just said ‘someone.’ Not even a clue as to who. If it was true, it would be clear. It would be the person tied up. I left and met up with Caine and Addison. Caine announced, “It’s a lighter time of day, but the best time to do this would be in the morning.”
I sighed, “Well, my tip says it has to be done by tonight.” Addison hummed, “Then in the next thirty minutes would be the best time.” I instructed, “Try and keep more people from coming inside.” I’d already looked at the schematics. I was going to go in through the roof.
If there was someone there… I’d have to fight for them to get out. Technically speaking. I’d just get whoever it was out and come back tonight for the fight. I’d get punished becausethe coven leader would cry to Edward when I kicked their butts. Happy day to me. I’d been on such a good streak.
I went around the back and up the ladder, then in through the skylight and dropped to the ground. Thankfully, Witches didn’t have superior hearing. I slowly started clearing the rooms. I was fairly certain I knew where they would keep someone here.
I used the heat signatures on my watch to determine if people were in rooms. I was close to having it the way I wanted to give to the team, but for now it was still just me. My readings so far, only showed people that were standing up. Someone who had been taken would likely be sitting tied up or laying down with other people standing up.
