I snorted, “Yet he made them anyway.” He replied, “He’s doing a good job of getting your content out there. A lot of those that watch them engage on your workout videos. They are a really good thing for the Supernatural Community. I’m really proud of you.” I didn’t know that I would go that far.
Oden said, “It is a good thing because mate watches.” That I could agree with. I would post all that type of content to engage with my mate in any way. I asked, “Does it make me weird that I enjoy getting some type of interaction with her? I didn’t post the content or film it.”
Oden growled, “We ARE the content.” Uncle Bjourn snorted, “You are the featured person in the content. Phil has a clear talent for the editing and all that. You’re the star of it though. He doesn’t have something like this to post without you. She’s not complimenting the editing. She’s watching you.”
He admitted, “I would be peacock proud knowing Astrid was the person viewing my content if I was doing this. Maybe I’ll get one of my kids on it.” I laughed, “I’m sure you’re featured on dad’s. You work out in our gym and the cameras are set up here too.”
He shook his head. He muttered, “I doubt it.” I reasoned, “Aunt Astrid would know. Or you are on Uncle’s Zader’s.” He threw his head back and laughed. He said, “I’m sure my cousins are on that. So far, your Grandpa Titus hasn’t gotten into it.” I prodded, “But?”
He grinned, “Uncle Zader is trying to get him to do it. Uncle Lief is too. He’s popular as well and dad has been in his videos.People want Uncle Lief to tag his account.” I pointed out, “He doesn’t have one.” He laughed, “Yet.”
I shrugged, “They should get Grammy Veronica on their side. Then he’d do it.” He chuckled, “That would be the way to do it.” I felt the bond. I said, “You’re not going to create an account.” He said, “As the King of this realm, I could do our social media but not in the human realm.”
I asked, “Are we putting our family at risk with these accounts?” I’d shut them down if they were. He answered, “No, you are a public figure in the human realm. If it was a danger, I’d have talked to everyone. It’s not a big deal, it’s just not something I can do right now. Your Grandpa could since he’s no longer King.” I laughed, “I can’t believe our family has somehow morphed into a bunch of thirst trap content creators.”
He admitted, “I would not have guessed that either. The point remains, it’s not a problem to be excited that your mate likes you showing off.” I snorted, “I wasn’t showing off.” He smiled “Which makes it better. She’s interested in watching you.” Oden purred.
I told him, “I’ll let you get to your evening.” I hugged him and snapped myself more whiskey. His phone dinged. He said, “Your new content just dropped.” I asked, “You have my account on an alert?” He answered, “Of course I do. You are my nephew, and I love you.” I hugged him again and he left.
I opened the video of me and my men jump roping that cut to the women slow motion jumping over the cones then back to us on the rope. The song was catchy too. I liked it. Oden asked, “Do you think mate already saw it?”
I popped back to my Uncle Gunner’s office. He had my account activity up and monitored. I saw Melanie’s name. She watched it the second it posted, and Ashley watched it after her. Oden said, “That makes me happier than I can explain.”
I agreed smiling as I watching my own damn video again watching how many times Melanie was watching it in real time. Oden purred, “She has notifications turned on for our account.” That was the only way she would’ve been able to see it.
I wondered if she’d ever comment. Oden excitedly shouted, “She could talk to us! That would be great! Mate would talk to us again!” I wished she’d text me again like she had that one time. I would take any scraps from her.
Oden reasoned, “This is scraps. She’s engaged with our content and no one else’s besides Ajax.” That was Jason’s wolf. I pulled up the videos she’d watched the most again. I could do more things like that. Oden snorted, “Rocket edited us in slow motion. Mate likes it.” Yeah, she clearly did. I could work with that.
I clicked back on her page wishing there were more recent videos. I popped to my room and pulled up my computer to watch her dance. I watched her one from four months ago. It was a dance that was filled with so many emotions. She really connected with the music.
There was anger, despondency, hopelessness, but it ended with resolution. Her determined moves that felt like she was owning the room she was dancing in. Oden grumbled, “Why doesn’t she ever dance in a room with mirrors?”
I snorted, “I don’t know why she doesn’t ever film her dances outside. Jase says she did her best choreography there. Inside, she’s always sad and angry.” There had been a gap in the videos after she turned sixteen.
It was like she got her wolf and stopped dancing. I rolled my eyes at myself saying, “She was just busy running and getting to know Ember.” That’s the only thing it could have been even if the McAlister’s found it weird too.
The conclusion we came to was that she was just enjoying being a wolf and everything was fine. It clearly was since she wasback to dancing regularly now. Everything was fine and she was interested in my content. Now, I could gear it towards getting her to comment.
Walking Around Broken Hearted
Melanie is Seventeen Years Old
Melanie was dreaming. The fact that I knew it was dream, didn’t help keep me from remembering my dramatic return to Black Path’s territory to be hunted. I heard Trevor mocking me, “We’re after that bitch now. It’s the hunt to end all hunts. The wolf less Melanie McAlister is on the run and hiding from us. I can’t wait to kick her ass.” Please. He wishes he could.
Mark groaned, “You’ve never been able to kick her ass. You’ve only been able to hurt her when she lets you.” Trevor yelled, “DUDE! Shut up! I’m recording us because people want to see Swiffer’s takedown. We brought in extra people to take her down. It’s like fifty on one.” Like I didn’t already know that. He was pathetic.
Francis mumbled, “There’s more. You can’t count, and I still don’t like our odds. That look in her eyes was like she was taunting us and saying she’d take no prisoners.” That was true. I wasn’t. I was going for blood. Which they’d find out soon, because they were about to run into the group I’d left unconscious on the lawn.
Trevor spotted them first and yelled, “YOU FUCKING BITCH! When we find you, I’ll give you the beating of your life! Maybe I’ll carve a new word on your back.” I shivered and nearly gave myself away from anger.
Caine linked, “Tell me you’re hiding well. Because I was just linked you left bodies on the front lawn.” I replied, “They are alive… so… bodies… is a word. Probably the wrong one, because that implies they are dead. They aren’t… they are unconscious. There is a difference.”
He snorted, “You’re doing great.” I knew he was still worried. They all were, but I was doing this my way. I told him, “You should know by now, I play to win…so…they are going down so hard. This is a barbaric and wholly illegal thing that will NEVER happen when I’m through with them.” He said, “Just stay safe.” Safe wasn’t something I was anymore.
Someone shook me awake. I gasped and startled staring at Hendrick. I apologized, “I’m sorry. Was I screaming?” He replied, “You were tossing and turning and muttering about killing people. I just wanted to make sure you are ok.”
I answered, “Peachy… well…” He snorted, “I know that’s a lie. Was it about finding your brother with Hunters or the Hunt?” I answered, “The Hunt.” I still shivered thinking about finding out a Hunter group had my brother.
