I surfaced smiling. She raised an eyebrow, “I hope you’re happy! There are bubbles and water all over the place now!” I smirked, “There will be more in a second, My Duchess. It’s a good thing I know someone who can snap it all dry later when I care.” I attacked her lips.
I flipped our positions. I commanded, “Ride me.” She smiled and did as I said. When we came, she popped away from me after she snapped the bathroom clean. I jumped out of the tub. I warned, “You’re playing a dangerous game, My Duchess.” She popped in front of me.
I ordered, “No popping.” She took off running so I chased her around the house. I caught her fairly quickly. Then fucked her on every surface available. We didn’t fall asleep until well after the sun came up.
The day of our wedding finally arrived, and I couldn’t keep my hands off her. By the end of the day, she would be my wife. It spurred me into action. I couldn't bring myself to be anywhere but inside her. Eventually, Cassie wanted to eat.
So, I took her outside where we ran into an orgy. I loved weddings in this realm. Cassie dragged me back into the house, and I was back inside her in seconds. After a while someone banged on the door.
Angus yelled, “Come on, Cayden! You have to get ready!” I rolled my eyes. I slowly pulled out of Cassie and kissed her. She got into the shower. I walked outside with my eyebrows raised, “Ten minutes. I need ten minutes to get ready. Cass can snap herself ready. You cockblocked me out of twenty damn minutes.”
Angus rolled his eyes, “You’ve been fucking her all damn week!” I smiled, “It’s never enough, little brother.” Angus rolled his eyes. I walked with him to my parents’ house and showered in my old room. I grabbed my nice slacks for the wedding.
My Aunt Astrid walked in. She smiled, “I might have added something to your ceremony.” I laughed, “Did you?” She nodded. I asked, “Does Cass know?” Aunt Astrid shook her head, “She does not know. I want you and Cassie to do the ceremonial archery piece of setting a boat on fire.”
I said, “The last people to do that were…” Astrid smiled, “My parents, your grandparents, yes. I think it should be a tradition with the Commander and his mate. Plus, I know you always loved that story.” I hugged her, “Thanks Aunt Astrid.”
She smiled, “Of course. I love both you and Cassie. I am so glad that you two are together.” I replied, “I’m so damn happy we are together. That she is mine, forever. It always stings that magic was used on me to try and prevent that.”
Aunt Astrid touched my arm, “That magic never would’ve prevented fate. It kept you apart longer than it should, but that curious Fairy blood of hers couldn’t be denied. Plus, you’re quite the hero to the Cambridge boys. My husband and all his brothers adore having Cassie here. Titus practically worships the ground you walk on.” I laughed but she seemed serious.
My dad walked in announcing. “It’s time.” I smiled, “Let’s go.” He walked with me after Aunt Astrid portaled away. I teased, “I kind of thought we’d be going through the portal.” He said, “I wanted to talk.” I grinned, “We had that sex talk a long time ago.” He threw an elbow into my stomach while I laughed.
He chuckled, “No, I just wanted to say that I’m proud of you. I have enjoyed every single moment of being your dad. I’m happy you found Cassie and you’ve become the mate you are. It’s how I raised you and it’s always nice to know you kids do listen.” He winked, “Eventually. You all are a stubborn lot, but the important messages got through.”
He clapped my back, “You are an amazing man and mate. I’m so proud of all you’ve accomplished. I am proud of the relationship you’ve developed with Cassie. It deepens today and I know that seems impossible, but it will. I’ll always be here for you if you need anything.” I hugged him, “Thanks, dad.” I was more than ready for Cass to be my wife.
We made it to the spot where I’d first laid eyes on my mate. I loved that she wanted to have our wedding here. The path was lit with candles in glass jars, that all led to where I would be standing and waiting for my mate. The exact spot I’d seen her for the first time. The memory played in my mind, and I couldn’t help but smile.
Cassie’s brothers all walked up and sat down. I nodded to them. Haley popped in and my excitement doubled. That meant my mate was on the way. My family all sent me love and patience. They could suck on the patience which I sent them, and I could see them laughing.
I swayed back and forth on my feet waiting. When Cassie and her dad topped the hill, I couldn’t look anywhere else. There weren’t words for how incredible she looked. When she made it to me, she was all I could focus on. The ceremony flew by as the words flew around me.
I couldn’t help but be excited when Uncle Bjourn handed us the bows. Cassie was confused, but I knew she knew how to shoot. I was sure Aunt Astrid ran this by Haley. Lexi Daniels had taught Cassie how to shoot a bow. I knew she still practiced here on occasion. She was a decent shot.
My wife popped us to the ocean. I didn’t bother to tell her this was sprung on me too. I absolutely would have if she didn’t know how to shoot. I’d get out of trouble like that fast because it interfered with my plans.
I yelled out the command then we both shot our arrows. Our arrows struck the inside of the boat at the same time. I lead our people in a cheer, and because I couldn't stand it any longer, I grabbed Cassie by the waist and kissed her hard.
Cassie Crawford. She was Cassie Crawford now. Mine. Everyone around us was losing it. I focused on Cassie. She didn’t mind having sex around other people. She didn’t want to be completely naked though, but I didn’t care about that at all.
I lifted up her dress and buried myself back inside her. My wife. I loved her little gasp every time I filled her up. I loved everything about her. I knew people had left and we were alone now. I still couldn’t stop. My Duchess was my wife. Mine. All mine. Forever.
Eventually, I had to stop myself. I rested my head on hers then looked into her eyes. She was killing me because she wanted to stay out here too. When her light shot into me, I couldn’t stop myself from coming again. There was a euphoric sense around me.
Damn. She’d shared her light with me again. We were twice light bound. I knew not everyone that was twice light bound went into the Ribbon. I guess we’d see if we were in it soon. I felt like we had a shot since Cora interfered, but Aunt Astrid was right; we found each other quickly. We should’ve me sooner though.
Micah linked me, “Are you guys gonna make it up here? Ever? Her dad and all her brothers, including my mate, might have a heart attack if you don’t. You can’t do that to me, Cayden. I’m so nice to you.” I laughed, “We are coming.”
I pulled out of Cassie, and we made our way to our reception. When she asked about my watch, I realized I’d forgotten her present which was at our house. Cassie snapped herself into a new dress. God, she was going to try to kill me.
The second dress was screaming, ‘Cayden, fuck me.’ Something I was more than happy to do. I was seconds from taking her again. Micah linked me, “We can hear you out there. By that I mean, ALL OF US CAN. Come on, I want to get laid again tonight. Help a brother in law out. If we hear you fuck her, then Max will NOT be in the mood later. I AM IN THE MOOD!” I pushed back from her.
I linked Micah back, “Then tell Hendrix to announce us.” Micah said, “It’s practically done. Thank you, you’re the best!” I rolled my eyes. Hendrix announced me as a Duke. I faltered. Oh god, I was a Duke of the Hackura now. That was odd. I looked over at Cassie beside me. She looked so happy. I loved her so damn much and now she was my wife. I couldn't wipe the smile off my face.
We entered the banquet hall. It was beautifully decorated. Aubrielle ran up to us. I felt Cassie’s shock. She glanced sharply at me as she asked, “Is that a mating mark on your neck, Aubrielle?” She squealed, “YES! It’s why I wasn’t at your bachelorette party. You’re not mad, are you?” Cassie sent me amusement that I was in trouble for not telling her.
She assured my sister, “You’re not in trouble. I’m so happy for you.” She hugged her. She greeted, “Hello, Lord Wren. It’s good to see you again.” He waved, “You are family and I’m not the Lord yet.” Cassie laughed, “Yes, you are. It’s your title and you will be one day.” She turned serious, “You be good to her, or you’ll deal with me.”
