I held her tightly, “They can’t have you. You are mine, forever and always.” She looked up into my eyes, “Forever.” Her eyes were fluttering shut. To be fair, she’d had quite the day. I whispered, “I usually have breakfast at my parents’ house before I leave.” She smiled mummering, “That sounds nice. We can do that.” I mused, “I’ll bet it’s at the Castle tomorrow.”
She shrugged, “Whichever works. Make sure your parents are invited. I love you, Cayden. I have for a while now. It hurt to think you might not be mine.” I kissed her softly, “I love you too, Cass. Your name always entered my mind when I thought about my mate.” She fell asleep smiling.
I called my dad. He answered, “I didn’t expect to hear from you tonight.” I snorted, “Cass fell asleep. I figure that’s because she’s had quite the day.” My dad teased me, “Mating and marking can do that.” I ground out, “Plus Fairies tried to kidnap her.” My dad said, “Let’s focus on what I said instead of that.”
I asked, “Did breakfast get moved to the castle tomorrow?” My dad shot back, “What do you think?” I knew he was trying to distract me, and I was going to let him. I didn’t want to leave Cassie’s side right now and if I didn’t stop thinking about that I’d need a fight. I answered, “I think it did.”
My dad chuckled, “You always were smart.” I looked at Cassie and told him, “She wanted to make sure you all knew you were invited.” My dad said, “We will be there, son. I’m very happy for you. Your mother has been on the phone since we got back. The whole family, on both sides, are happy for youtwo.” I confessed, “I’m happy too, more so than ever. I’ll see you tomorrow.” I hung up the phone and pulled Cassie to me.
I quickly noted that her hair did look stunning splayed over my pillow, just like I thought it would. I nuzzled her neck and fell asleep content with her by my side. I should’ve just asked her to come with me yesterday, but now she’d be with me. I would protect her. I swore it.
I woke Cassie up gently, “Hey Cass, it’s time to get up.” She smiled and stretched. I closed my eyes. I wanted to take her again. I told her, “Breakfast is in fifteen minutes.” She giggled, “You’re lucky I can snap myself ready.” She popped into the shower.
She peeked out asking, “Are you joining me?” I blinked. She flipped her hair seductively, “To conserve water and stuff?” I raised an eyebrow, “Do you want to get to breakfast on time?” Cassie blushed, “I believe they are called quickies, Cayden. I haven’t had one, but I have heard of them. Plus, I can snap us ready.” I practically flew into the shower.
Cassie laughed until I pinned her against the wall. I whispered, “Are you sore?” She shook her head, “Werewolf healing is awesome.” I groaned, “You’re going to be the death of me, My Duchess.” She moaned as I rubbed my dick against her.
I hissed, “God, you’re so wet already.” Cassie winked, “In the spirit of the quickie, I was already fantasizing about us.” I slid into her. I bit her ear grunting, “Were you?” She gripped my shoulders and whispered in my ear, “Yes, about you taking me in the shower against the wall.” Her wish was my command.
I gripped her hips and began to thrust into her before I kissed her mark. She screamed, “CAYDEN!” I smirked, “Is this what you imagined?” She shuddered, “Oh god yes, just like this.” I played with her mark, bringing her to a quick release and I couldn’t help but follow.
I put my forehead on hers, “Is My Duchess happy now?” Cassie smiled, “Yes.” I kissed her, “Good.” I slid out of her and she pouted. I told her, “If you don’t stop, we will miss breakfast, and your family might just lose their minds.”
Cassie blushed, “They should understand.” I snorted, “Your mom would. The rest would be slapped in the face with the truth and lose their minds thinking about us having sex.” Cassie rolled her eyes, “They will smell it.” I laughed, “There’s a difference between smelling it and waiting hours for us to come to breakfast and showing up reeking of each other and sex.” Cassie pouted, “Later then?” I rubbed her nipple lightly, “You bet your perfect ass later.”
She laughed and we quickly showered. Cassie snapped us ready and popped us to the castle. They were in fact waiting for us. Cassie smiled greeting, “Hi, daddy!” She popped to him, and he hugged her whispering, “Good morning, Princess.” He shook my hand, “Cayden.” I smiled, “Eric.”
Haley snorted, “Good morning Cass. How was your night?” Eric choked. Cassie smiled answering, “It was really good mom.” She hugged her. When she stepped back, I held out my hand to Haley. Haley paused for a second then said, “None of that shit with my son or daughter in laws.” She moved to hug me.
I didn’t move because I was stunned. Cassie smiled broadly. Haley was affectionate with their family, but far more reserved with others. She quickly hugged me and stepped back, “Welcome to this crazy fucking family Cayden. We may be crazy, but we are a lot of fucking fun.” I smiled, “I already knew that.”
Cassie’s brothers were all hugging her. The rest formed a line to talk to me as Cassie made her way through her family. Alexander said, “I really like you Cayden, so just know I say this with love. If you ever hurt my sister, I’ll pulverize you.” I told him, “I’d even let you. I won’t hurt her.” Alexander smirked. EJ said, “Good.”
The rest of her brothers nodded. Angela popped over and gave me a hug. She told her brothers, “They are happy together. In fact, Cassie is very happy with him.” I smiled broadly while Cassie flushed. My family surrounded me next.
My mom hugged me, “The whole family is so excited! I might have told the realm. Everyone is excited.” Tenley teased, “Not quite everyone, but most everyone.” I frowned wondering what she meant? My brother sighed, “You are clueless, Cayden.” I was about to ask him what he meant when Uncle Bjourn spoke, “Let’s eat.”
