At Rusty’s with the girls. We’re listening to the band play. They’re really good.

Travis

That’s my brother’s band.

Sophia

Your brother? Which one is he?

I glance up and see the band members packing up their equipment. It must be later than I thought. I look for similarities and don’t see any with the singer and guitarist. The drummer turns and catches me watching him. He gives me a wink and a smile to die for. When his grey eyes meet mine, I know I’ve found him. My phone starts ringing in my hand. I glance down and see Travis’s name.

“He’s calling me,” I whisper.

“Then answer it.” Bella nods toward the phone.

“I’m thinking maybe the text was a bad idea. What if he’s mad about it.”

“He’s not mad. He’s horny.” Bella giggles again.

I hit answer and put the phone up to my ear. The girls automatically lean forward to hear the call with me.

“Is my brother still playing?” Oh shit. He sounds pissed.

“Um, I think they’re packing up now.”

“He’s the drummer. Do you see him?” I look over to the band, and the drummer eyes me again before giving me that killer smile. Jesus, their family has good genes.

“Yeah, he keeps smiling over here at me. He has the same eyes as you.”

“What do you mean he keeps smiling over at you?” I hear faint footsteps and can tell he is pacing.

“He just winked at me and then smiled a couple of times.” A giggle escapes with a hiccup.

“Jesus Christ,” I hear him mutter. He’s breathing hard on the other end of the phone. “Hand him your phone.”

“What?” I look at Bella and Emma, who are just as surprised as me.

“Hand my brother the phone,” he repeats in a low voice.

I get up and walk over to the band. The drummer's grin widens when he sees me coming up to him.

“Hey, beautiful. I’m glad you came over. I was coming to you once I packed everything away, but you beat me to it.”

“Hand him the goddamn phone now,” he growls into my ear.

I hand the phone over to his brother. “Travis wants to talk to you.”

“My brother?” He gets a confused look on his face as he takes my phone.

“Hello?” I can’t hear what Travis is saying, but his brother looks at me before grinning wider. “Jesus, Trav. Calm down. I’m not going to hit on her anymore.” He winks at me before listening again. “Okay, I got it. I’ll make sure of it.” He hands me back the phone.

“He wants to talk to you again.”Good luck, he mouths before grinning wider.

“Yes?” I say into the phone.

“My brother is taking you home.”
