Chewing on the end of my straw, I glanced over at him. “We do, although to be fair, I didn’t really get a choice in the matter.”
“Well, I’m glad you changed your mind.”
“Who says I have?” I bit the inside of my cheek, trying to make it seem as if I hadn’t. But I couldn’t keep it up. A grin spread across my face. “Okay, it’s notsobad having you back.”
He clutched a hand to his chest in mock dismay. “Thank God for that. I was beginning to think I’d spent fifteen Euros on a pair of earrings for nothing.”
I leaned across the table and met his lips with mine. “You know I’m worth it.”
After another cocktail, we took a leisurely stroll back to the villa. With the early start, the heat and two strong alcoholic drinks, it was definitely time for a nap.
We had dinner in the villa with Suzanne and Clive. Suzanne had recreated a bunch of tapas dishes from Mason’s favourite restaurant in town. The dining room table heaved with patatas bravas, marinated chicken skewers, chorizo, dates wrapped in bacon, Padron peppers, prawns, squid, Serrano ham, Manchego cheese and paella.
“Suzanne, this is amazing,” I said, helping myself to a third plateful.
“I might have persuaded them to do a takeaway for me,” Suzanne admitted. “I didn’t think there would be time to cook everything, so I popped to the restaurant while you two were asleep. Do you mind?”
I laughed. “Totally something I would do.”
The evening passed quickly and before long, after good food and good wine, I started to yawn.
“I think I’m going to head up to bed now.” I stroked the top of Mason’s thigh. “Thanks for a lovely evening, Suzanne.”
Mason grabbed my hand as I went to leave the table and kissed my knuckles. “I’ll be up soon.”
The view of the sunset from our room was amazing. I stepped out onto the tiny balcony to get a better look, leaning over and resting my forearms on the railings. Low level noise from people walking home after dinner in town and the occasional car filled the air. Under normal circumstances that would bother me but for some reason, being in another country I let the sounds wash over me.
“What a beautiful view.”
I glanced over my shoulder to see Mason cross the room. “Aren’t the colours of the sky gorgeous?”
He smirked. “I wasn’t talking about the sunset.” He slipped in behind me, grasping my hips.
Involuntarily, I pushed back against him, feeling the beginnings of his erection pressing into my arse. “Clearly.”
One hand trailed up my spine, fisting in my hair and pulling my head back. The other pulled the long skirt of my maxi dress up, revealing my knickers.
“Mason,” I hissed. “We can’t. Not here.” I tried to squash the need building up inside me, the horror of being seen foremost in my mind.
“Of course we can,” he whispered in my ear, teeth tugging at the lobe. “Relax, babe, no one can see us up here.”
He had me pinned against the railings, barely able to move. The apparent restraint should have made me want to squirm away, but I couldn’t help but be turned on by his control. I rolled my hips, pushing myself into his crotch. Two could play that game.
“Jesus, Ems, that feels so good.” He buried his face in the crook of my neck, removing his grip on my hair.
I heard him unzip his jeans, then felt him push my knickers to one side. My breath hitched as he slid two fingers inside me first, his thumb tormenting the little bundle of nerves in exactly the right way to make me come undone. I bucked against him, the limited movement making every single sensation so much more intense. The wave started, and I was left bereft when Mason suddenly withdrew his fingers.
“Don’t stop…” I begged.
A second later, his cock replaced his fingers, thrusting into me in a slow and steady pace, designed to prolong the torrent of reactions currently coursing through me.
I rode out the wave, watching the sun setting in a glorious blaze of yellow, orange and red, which totally matched the fireworks going off in my body.
How I’d ever questioned whether Mason and I getting back together was a bad thing, I’d never know.
