“As long as I don’t keep you out too late this evening. Yes, please.”
Her face softened again. “It’s a deal.” There was a pause. “I should go, there are a couple of things I need to do before this evening.” Olivia stood up and popped her belongings back into her bag, as she prepared to leave.
“Dinner then. How about we meet at Restaurant Miramar around seven thirty?” It was one of Brody’s favourite restaurants. He’d call ahead to make sure they got a decent table. “Do you know where that is?”
“I think so. It’s along the marina, isn’t it?”
“That’s it.” Brody smiled. “Looking forward to it.”
A smile played around Olivia’s lips as well. “Me too. I’ll see you later.”
As Olivia left, Caro’s words came back to him. Olivia didn’t need someone like him messing her around. For once, he had no intention of doing that.
