“Hey, sweetheart.”
“I have something to show you.”
“What?”
She reaches into her back pocket and pulls out a pregnancy test.I stand up straight as I lay out my hand for her and she gently places the test into my hand.I see the plus sign and my heart races and stops at the same time.
“Is this real?”
“Yes, babe, we are going to have another baby.”
I drop the test to the ground and wrap my arms around her, pulling her into me.She smiles as she wraps her arms around my waist.“I am so in love with you.”
“I love you, too, babe.”
We both lean in at the same time and connect our lips.We are having another baby.I want to have five or six.I want this whole house filled with family, friends, and children.All the things I never had growing up.
When Jenn and I first met we were both shattered like vases and now we are put back together again because of each other, and now we are beautifully shattered together.Forever intertwined.
I will always be grateful Shawn found her outside of the club.Because of him I found the love of my life.Because of him I found my purpose.Because of him I get to be better than I was yesterday.
I have no words to fully explain how I feel right now, but I do know that our future is bright, and every day I fall more and more in love with my wife and the life we are creating together.I can’t wait to see what happens next.
