Then I turn my eyes to the rogue leader. “I don’t expect to hear from you again.”

“You won’t, Alpha.”

I have no choice but to believe her, but only time will really tell from here on out.

Hand-in-hand, I lead my mate out of the packhouse, leaving my enforcers with the rest of the rogues to ensure that they are dealt with accordingly.

“Do you think they will get their land back?” Madison turns her dark eyes on me as we retreat to my SUV, and I don’t speak until we’re safely inside.

“I do,” I tell my mate confidently.

EPILOGUE

MADISON

One Year Later

Alight breeze filters through the nursery windows as I cradle Killian against my chest, his tiny fist wrapped around my finger with surprising strength. At three months old, he already has his father’s determined grip and those unmistakable hazel eyes that seem to take in everything around him with curious intelligence.

“He’s going to be trouble, this one,” I murmur, pressing a soft kiss to the dark hair that crowns his head. The same rich chestnut color as Blaze’s, though I suspect it might darken to match mine as he grows.

“Just like his mother,” Blaze’s warm voice rumbles behind me as strong arms encircle us both.

I lean back against his solid chest, savoring this peaceful moment before the day’s festivities begin.

Today marks not just our son’s official naming ceremony, but the first anniversary of the peace accord that changed everything. It seems fitting that we’re celebrating both onthe same day—new beginnings built on the foundation of old wounds finally healing.

“The guests are starting to arrive,” Blaze says, his breath warm against my ear. “Are you ready for this?”

I turn in his arms, meeting his gaze. “More than ready.”

And I am. This past year has been a whirlwind of changes, but each one has brought us closer to where we’re meant to be. The scared, resentful girl who arrived at this estate feels like a distant memory now. In her place stands a female who has found her purpose, her family, and her home.

“Luna Madison?” Lillian appears in the doorway, her smile bright with excitement. “Your mother and Virginia have arrived.”

My heart swells with anticipation. “Send them up, please.”

Blaze kisses my temple before reluctantly releasing us. “I’ll go check on the preparations downstairs. Take your time.”

As he leaves, I settle into the rocking chair by the window, Killian content in my arms. The view overlooks the grounds where staff members are putting finishing touches on the ceremony setup. Unlike our previous attempts at celebrations, this one radiates joy and anticipation rather than tension.

“Oh, my gods, Maddi!” Virginia bursts through the doorway first, her face glowing with happiness. Behind her, Mom follows more sedately, but her smile is just as warm.

“Let me see my grandson,” Mom says, reaching for Killian with eager hands. I pass him over, watching as she cradles him.

“He’s perfect,” she breathes. “Look at those eyes. He’s going to be as handsome as his father.”

“And hopefully just as passionate as his mother,” Virginia adds with a grin, settling on the arm of my chair. “How are you feeling, Mama?”

“Tired, happy, overwhelmed,” I admit. “But good. Really good.”

It’s true. Despite the sleepless nights and the steep learning curve of new motherhood, I’ve never felt more complete. Killian’s birth didn’t just break the infertility curse that had plagued Blaze’s lineage; it proved that our union was exactly what fate intended.

“Your pack seems to be beside themselves with joy,” Mom tells me, gently bouncing Killian. “I’ve never seen anything like it.”

I laugh, remembering Vigo’s stunned expression when we announced my pregnancy. The stoic Beta had actually teared up, though he’d deny it if asked. “He’s been insufferable ever since, constantly reminding everyone that he was right about the pack needing an heir.”

“He’s earned the right to gloat a little,” Virginia says with a grin. “The curse being broken has given everyone hope again.”
