A sudden mist seems to manifest from the very air itself. It coats our wings, tugging us closer as if all four of us are held together by the same string. Blinding light sears my eyes, and when it fades, I’m awestruck.

Across from me, I stare at Theo’s wings. Where they were once all white, now they’re speckled with golden feathers. Raphael’s wings are the same, white with gold interspersed throughout. But it’s Zeke’s that have my heart nearly thumping out of my chest, because his are peppered with black and gold, but that’s not what has a gasp tumbling from my throat.

Where there was once only one wing, now there’s two.

He has two wings again.

I blink, needing to make sure this isn’t a trick of the light, but they don’t fade. My eyes prick with tears, and he flexes both wings, flapping them gently and rustling the loose strands of hair around my face.

I cover my mouth with my hands, my heart beating out of control as the reality of it crashes into me. As hard as I tried, my powers were never strong enough to fix what he lost. Until now. Our shared bond. This love the four of us have for one another. It’s strong enough to take on anything.

When our gazes lock, I see the astonishment and joy hidden within his green depths. Raph, Theo, and I rush toward him, whooping with excitement as we fall into a group hug that I somehow feel on more than just my skin or my heart.

Now the four of us are intricately linked by our souls.

One year later

“Is this the last one?” I ask Mom while placing what must be the fifteenth tray of food on the table. When I agreed to let her throw us a small grad party, I didn’t expectthis.

“It is,” she replies, worrying her lip as she looks around her dining room. “Do you think it’ll be enough?”

“Mom. Just how many angels do you think are coming? At this rate, I hope you have extra containers, because we’ll all be taking some home with us.”

She smirks, then opens a cabinet door revealing the prepped containers. Of course she’d already thought of it.

The doorbell rings, and even though I race to answer it, Dad beat me to it. Mira walks through the door first, still wearing her guild uniform. “Sorry, sorry. My shift ran late. Any chance I could borrow a room to change?” She holds up her bag, looking sheepish.

“Of course, of course. Up the stairs, second door on your right.”

Zeke walks in next, and I damn near melt. He’s wearing a black button-down shirt with the sleeves rolled up.Yum.He offers quiet pleasantries to Dad before beelining it to my side and wrapping me in his arms. “Gods, you look good enough to eat,” he whispers in my ear. “Are you wearing it?”

I laugh, then whisper, “Yes.”

The guys had given me this weird contraption and made me promise I’d wear it today. The box said it was a wearable G-spot stimulator. At first, the sensation of a foreign object in my pussy was strange, and it took longer to get used to the feel of something pressed to my clit, but it’s getting easier.

I hear the doorbell again, then Raphael’s moaned, “Oh, my gods. What smells so delicious?”

For some reason, Zeke doesn’t let me go say hello. He exchanges a look with Raphael and Theo, who just passed through the threshold, then pulls me into the house and out onto the patio. The moment we’re alone, I ask, “What’s going—"

But my words cut off as the toy inside me begins to move. It’s subtle—at first. A slight pulsing against my inner walls. Then a low hum starts on my clit, the vibrations utterly silent.

“Here, sit,” Zeke says, pressing me down onto the chair. The moment I do, the sensations increase. I suck in a breath, then try to hide it as I hear someone approach. Theo grins, stepping up to plant a slow, teasing kiss to my lips. Raphael comes next, placing a plate of food down.

“Hungry, sunshine?” Raph asks.

“Yes,” I say, then hiss as I hear a soft click and the pulsing toy grows more erratic.

He pops a juicy slice of watermelon into my mouth as Mira, Dad, and Mom join us on the patio. I twitch in my dress, fidgeting to relieve some of the pressure, except it doesn’t work.

“Are you warm? You look a little flushed,” Mom says, cupping my cheek. “Cam, can you bring out some water, please?”

“Oh, I’m fine,” I say, trying to keep my composure. Thankfully, Raph must sense my awkwardness, because he clicks the button again and the toy settles.

“Have you heard from Dina? Will she be able to make it?” Mom continues, blissfully unaware of what my sneaky, kinky men are up to.

I shake my head. “She isn’t back yet, but she promises to stop by when she is.”

Dad hands me a glass of cold water. “And you still don’t know who she’s dating? Seems awfully suspicious if you ask me.”
