“What do we know about them?” Aiden asks, his question the same one I had earlier.

“Not much. They’re fairly new, only operating in the last two to three years. Most of their contracts are small, and their reach is fairly similar. To be honest, I don’t understand how they’ve stayed afloat so long.”

“Hmm. As much as I want to get Elliott involved, he’s better off focusing on our Burt problem. I’ll see what I can find and keep you posted.”

“Of course. I’ve got another meeting with the lead investigator in twenty minutes, though I’m not expecting any new information, but I’ll keep you posted either way.”

“Did Liliana call you?”

“She did. Despite her reassurance, I won’t last much longer being so far away from her.”

“I don’t envy you, that’s for sure. Once you’re back, we might want to rethink our current travel schedule. I’m not sure about you, but I don't want to go very far without her.”

“Agreed. Whatever happens here, I’ll be back on Friday. Then we can ravage our girl and figure out how to make this thing work.”

Liliana

Cool morning air whips my long, dark hair around as I walk toward the main entrance of Exalta Solutions with a smile on my face. I can’t seem to keep one off nowadays.

I usually catch a ride to work with Aiden and Kaleb, but I was running out of outfits, and it was time I spent a night in my own bed. Of course, I regretted that decision immediately. The couch in our apartment was basically a boulder compared to the luxurious mattresses they’ve spoiled me with at their penthouse. But it was worth it to see Calantha.

She’s been more supportive of my weird three-way relationship than I ever could have expected, and although I was worried what my absence would do to her, I really shouldn’t have been. She’s thriving. I try not to take it personally, but from where I stand now, I realize that my constant worrying was only smothering her.

I’ll see her again tonight. We’re having dinner together at home while I grab a few more outfits to bring to the penthouse. Sometimes it feels like I’m rushing things with Aiden and Kaleb. Already I have clothes there, ones that I hang up in the closetand get washed amidst their own. Yet I don’t think I could slow down even if I tried. Being with them feels right. Like my entire life before now was only a shitty movie, one I needed to live through for character development before I could turn me on the right path.

I nod my head, feeling silly, and check my phone in the elevator. There’s a text from Aiden.

This whole sleeping away from us thing doesn’t work for me. We’re waiting for you in the office.

My stomach flutters, remembering the evening two nights ago when I was alone with them after hours. We’d been so exhausted after dealing with a massive crisis that the elation we should have felt at resolving it never came. Kaleb didn’t let the win go to waste, though. Ever the optimist, he made sure Aiden and I took the time to celebrate — which had me spread open on their desks and feasted on like the rarest delicacy.

Rushing to my desk, I drop my purse and jacket haphazardly on top, then head toward their office door. Before entering, I take a moment to calm myself. As excited as I am, it wouldn’t hurt to at least feign some nonchalance. My two men were already cocky enough with the reminder of my eagerness.

I knock and hear Kaleb call me in. They sit on the edge of their desks when I enter, both watching me with similar expressions on their faces. As usual, Kaleb’s face holds more playfulness than Aiden’s, but there’s a charge in the air, something dark and demanding that puts my body on high alert.

“You wanted to see me,” I say before shutting the door.

They exchange a look, but neither of them moves as I approach. I pull the chair in front of Kaleb’s desk to the middle of the room and sit down, crossing my legs as I wait. Their eyes trail over me, lighting a fire low in my belly.

“Last night was awful.” Kaleb breaks the silence but stays glued to the side of his desk. I risk a glance over at Aiden to findhim gripping the table tightly. A heady rush pulses through me as I realize how much power I have over them. They’re fighting to keep their distance because if they don’t, who knows what sort of fun we could get up to? Maybe I should test this out a bit.

“I know, I’m sorry. Calantha and I had a long chat about it, and I was considering staying with her again.” I cross my legs, lifting my skirt slightly but pretending I don’t notice. They do, though.God, how did I go my entire life without knowing how intoxicating this was?

“Why doesn’t she come stay with us instead?” Aiden asks, his knuckles white with tension.

“If I thought she’d say yes, I’d ask her.” Pulling my hair over my shoulder, I twist it casually between my fingers. “Besides, wouldn’t that limit our… fun?”

Kaleb stares at my neck, one of his favorite spots on my body, and Aiden can’t seem to take his eyes off the sight of my thigh-high stockings. My pulse quickens, beating a steady thrum straight to my clit as I imagine all the ways this meeting could turn.

“There are other places to have fun, baby. You know that.”

A knock reverberates through the space, dousing my fire. Someone from the Project Management team apparently has a crisis big enough to bother the bosses over. Before I can stand and fix my skirt, Aiden practically growls one single word.

“Sit.”

I fall back into the chair at his command, my panties drowning with the need for more.

Kaleb hasn’t moved from the desk. He looks at me like a man in the desert would look at a watery oasis. His gaze his hungry, desperate, and fuck, does it turn me on.
