“Yeah, fromHarry Potter.”She looked up at him, frowning now.“Haven’t you ever seen it?Or read any of the books?”

The name was vaguely familiar.“The movies?”he shook his head.“No.I’ve heard of it.I mean who hasn’t.But I never had any chance to see it, or anyone to watch it with.Want to introduce a newbie?”

A light flickered in her eyes and he knew he had her hooked.

“I would, but they’re only on one streaming service, and I don’t have that one.”

“Which one?”he asked.

He was willing to sign up and pay for a month of whatever service they were on if she would watch with him and it would make her light up like just the little bit of talking about it so far had.She told him which service. He didn’t have that one, but it only took him a few minutes to sign up for an account.

“Okay, it looks like there are a bunch of them.Where do we start?”He looked at her for direction.

“There are eight movies, are you sure you’re up for the commitment?”

He blinked at her.Eight movies? That was at least sixteen hours, if they were only two hours each. That would take them probably two days, maybe three.

“When do you work next?”he asked, not telling her all his calculations. She’d likely seen the movies several times and knew all of that.

“I don’t have to be back until Monday.”She reached back and pulled the blanket off the back of the chair and wrapped it around her shoulders.

“Then we’ve got the time.”He wasn’t worried about stuff with the club.As treasurer, most of what he did could be done from anywhere with his laptop.Once that was brought to him, he could get shit done while they watched or even while she slept.

She gave him the name of the first movie, and he pulled it up and started it.

“Why don’t you come over here and watch with me?”He patted the sofa beside where he sat.He pulled out his phone and sent Taylynn a quick message asking her to add snacks to the list.Things like popcorn and maybe some candy. He didn’t mind getting up to cook meals, but it looked like Andy had barely eaten since Panther had died and he wanted to make sure there was stuff around if she wanted it, or if he could talk her into eating.

Chapter Nine

As the kids got onthe train to go home at the end of the movie, Andy sat up from where she’d been curled against the arm of the couch. She extended her arms over her head and stretched.

“What did you think?”she asked, watching Dagger so she could see his body language and see if it matched what he said.

“It’s cute.I don’t get how you know you’re a Ravenclaw though.”He shrugged as he pushed himself to his feet.“I’ve got someone bringing some things by.They’ll be here soon. How about we take a break until they’re here and everything’s dealt with then we can start the next one?I don’t know about you, but I need to piss.”

“Go ahead.I’m good for a little bit.”She curled back up under the afghan she’d brought with her from the recliner. She had to admit, even if only to herself, that watching the movie with Dagger had been fun.It had been too long since she’d rewatched them.Travis had gotten sick of them and refused to watch with her anymore.
