“For your sake, I hope she doesn’t find out.” My voice was husky as I played along.
Once my shirt was open, Gavin traced the hem of the bra with his finger, ever so lightly touching my skin. “This is new.”
“I got it today. Do you like it?” Arching my brow, I pushed out my chest for him to have a better view.
“I’d like it better if it was on the floor.” He pulled the sheer fabric down and put his mouth over my nipple.
Sighing with pleasure, I reached behind me and popped open the clasp. The bra came away from my breasts, and Gavin pulled it off.
He slid his hand from my breast down my stomach to the hem of the skirt I wore. Lifting my skirt to my hips, he finally found his target. The heat from his hand radiated through my thin panties.
“You need to wear short skirts more often,” he mumbled into my ear.
Laughter erupted from me. “Gavin, we live on a cattle ranch, and we have a four-month-old. Short skirts aren’t exactly practical.”
“I’m not worried about practical. It’s the ease of access I’m enjoying.” Scooting down, he took my painfully hard nipple between his teeth and bit down gently.
Something wet fell on my arm, and I looked down to see a steady drip from the breast not being taken care of by Gavin. “Oh no. I should have pumped. Stop, and I’ll do it now.”
He looked up and grinned. “No, I’m not stopping. Tonight’s the only night I don’t have to share you. I love Ben, but this,” he ran his hand over my breasts dragging the wetness across them and down my stomach to between my thighs, “is all minetonight. Dripping tits and all.” Moving my panties to the side, he slipped his fingers inside me and attacked my chest again.
Moaning, I ran my hands through his hair and arched my back. I needed more. Now.
“How do I get this skirt off?” Gavin said, tugging at my waistband.
I grabbed the zipper on the front of the skirt and dragged it down ever so slowly. “You wanted ease of access? Well, here it is.”
Gavin watched me shimmy out of it with the biggest smile on his face. “This is now in the clothing rotation. Could you imagine the fun we could have at any moment?” His eyes glimmered.
I was still always amazed at his excitement for my body. I was taught to cover up and not tempt men. But Gavin worshipped every part of me, and it didn’t matter what I was wearing or that I’d so recently given birth.
I was completely loved and in love with him. Nothing could have prepared me for the absolute joy that becoming his wife and a mother had given me. At one point in my life, I thought the only way I could be happy was to have a man in my life. It didn’t matter what man. Now I realize the only reason I was happy was because Gavin made me feel like an equal. He believed in me and made sure I knew he was completely in love with me. Working together, trusting each other, and being partners in every sense of the word.
Chapter Thirty-Two
Gavin
We were up with the sun yet again. Ben was the alarm clock that had the power to get everyone out of bed.
I went to the kitchen while Ellie went to get the baby. Opening the can of coffee and taking a deep breath always energized me, but this morning I would have liked to crawl back into bed.
Yesterday was the most perfect day. It was something I never thought would happen, but meeting this woman ten months ago changed everything. I had been happy being alone. Nobody needed me and required me to be better than I was. But now the beautiful woman upstairs and our son relied on me and I relied on them.
The coffee was done, so I poured two cups and climbed the stairs to Ben’s room. Ellie was sitting in the rocking chair feeding our growing boy.
Ellie was stunning all the time, but when she was tenderly humming to Ben while he was eating, my heart filled with pride and love.
“Are you going to stand at the door all morning, or do I get that cup of coffee?” She never took her eyes off Ben but smiled softly as I approached.
Leaning down as she raised her head, I brushed my lips against hers. “Good morning,” I whispered when we pulled away from each other.
She reached for the coffee and took a sip. Closing her eyes and savoring the first sip, she smiled. “Good morning. How did you sleep?”
“Like a rock, you?” I sat in the chair next to her and sighed. Spending time with my family was my number one priority, so we’d put two rocking chairs in the nursery so Ellie and I could talk while she was feeding Ben.
“Good, but I could have used a couple more hours of sleep.” She arched her brow and smiled slyly.
“It was short, that’s true but oh what a night.” Lifting my mug, I took a sip of my coffee, never breaking eye contact with my wife.
