“I’m not sure there should be a next time, Dyana. There shouldn’t have been a first time,” he replied as he slid out of me and stood.
Well, shit. This man continued to surprise me. I stood and followed him back to the altar, where we dressed in silence as I considered my options to guarantee he remains on my hook. As I slid my panties onto my body, I looked up and found him fully dressed and watching me. Maybe I didn’t need some big scheme after all. I accentuated my movements as I finished dressing and caught the disappointed look in his eyes when I dropped my shirt over my head.
I sauntered over to him and pressed my body into his as I stood on my tiptoes to press my lips against his. Slowly he embraced me, his hands cupping my ass and pulling me against him tighter as his tongue chased mine. He could say whatever he wanted to make himself feel better, but they were empty words. Pastor Jeff was mine, and for now, I’d be his. I’d be anything he wanted.
The kiss ended with both of us panting, breathing each other in as our lips brushed against each other. “You can’t have the best sex of your life and then walk away from it,” I told him. “We’re too good together not to do it again. I know it, and you know it. Sweet dreams, Pastor Jeff.” I gave him a final chastekiss and walked away, leaving him where I first found him, at the altar, likely saying a prayer.
Chapter six
Dyana
Past
Iwoke up the next day with an extra pep in my step. Getting voluntarily fucked into the carpet tends to do that to a girl. A shiver ran down my spine as I thought of the possessed look in Pastor Jeff’s eyes as he gave in to his desires. I wanted to seek him out and go again, but thought it wise not to. I didn’t want our little secret to be found out so quickly. Instead, I entered the kitchen, where Marta and a few other women were cooking breakfast.
“Smells delicious,” I said with a small moan. “Can I help with something?”
“Good morning, dear,” a pleasantly plump older woman with cherub cheeks replied. “Pastor Jeff has instructed us that you can’t help with chores because you will be running the trainingsessions. Go on and grab a cup of coffee and take a seat. Breakfast will be right out.”
Her statement took me aback. I wanted to do my part to fit in and hadn’t expected special treatment. As I grabbed my coffee, I heard Marta scoff. When I looked up at her, she glared at me with contempt. Someone wasn’t a fan or resented my exemption from regular chores. I didn’t ask for it, but I wouldn’t turn down an opportunity to avoid scrubbing toilets. I took my coffee out into the dining area, and as soon as I sat, Amber came running over to me.
“Good morning, Dyana! Did you sleep well?”
“Good morning, Amber. I did. Thank you.” I sipped my coffee and focused on the enamored child in front of me instead of on the whispers from the other people in the room. Honestly, I didn’t give a fuck what they had to say, but I had to play my part and be cordial. At least until I had cemented my place in the community.
“Mama said you’re gonna teach some of us how to defend ourselves against the zombies ’cause you’ve had to fight off loads of them,” Amber announced. I may have oversold my abilities a bit. It helped that I was armed to the teeth, which led to a certain assumption of my skills. I’d just have to fake it ’til I made it. Amber leaned closer and whispered, “Could you teach me how to shoot arrows like you did yesterday?”
“When did you see her shoot arrows yesterday?” Amber’s mom asked, setting a plate on the table and guiding her daughter into the chair in front of it to eat.
“Umm,” Amber replied, shooting me an anxious look.
“Never mind,” her mother replied with an exasperated smirk. “Sometimes, the less I know, the better when it comes to you.”
I chuckled and held my hand out to her. “We weren’t properly introduced yesterday. Dyana.”
She shook my hand. “Allison. It’s a pleasure to meet you, and I’m glad you’re here. And I’m eternally grateful for finding my little hellion before something happened to her.”
“Happy to help. It’s a hard world out there.” I looked at Amber and poked her in the side. “And not everybody you run into will be as nice as me. No more running off on your own, kid, got it?”
“Got it,” Amber replied immediately.
“The stars sure are shining in her eyes,” Allison chuckled. She looked around the room and lowered her voice so she couldn’t be overheard. “Don’t worry about the others. Some Christians skip the part of the bible that says not to judge each other. Your presence here is good for us. We’re lucky to have you.”
Someone snorted behind us, and we turned to see Marta holding a plate of food.
Allison took the plate from her and set it in front of me. “Problem, Marta?”
“Not at all, Allison, but I’m pretty sure the Bible says something about lying, too.”
Allison rolled her eyes as Marta walked away. “Ignore her in particular. She’s always had a stick up her ass,” she whispered before walking away as well.
I ate my breakfast and considered everything I had discovered so far. This was going to be an interesting and potentially challenging experience. It’s a good thing I love a challenge.
Two weeks later, I was in the yard with a group as they practiced putting a zombie down. I had to admit that not only was I good at this, but I could also see their improvements. I knew we would need real-world practice soon and was devising a plan to do so.Pastor Jeff was standing under the awning under the pretense of watching the group practice, but his eyes never left me. We had sex again a week ago, but that was it since our first time together. I could see the desire radiating off of him. It was all part of the plan to make sure he was hooked on me.
Marta came outside to talk to him, and I watched them out of the corner of my eye as they had a hushed argument. Marta gestured toward me several times before stomping away. Pastor Jeff’s jaw clenched as he looked at me one last time, then went inside as well. A short time later, I dismissed the group and followed them inside. I was headed toward my “room” but paused at the kitchen door when I heard hushed tones.
“She needs to go, Marta,” a woman said.
