Feeling a bit mischievous, she moved the leg she had over his thigh again, this time a bit more deliberately, making him groan. She liked knowing she still had that kind of effect on him.

“Babygirl,” he warned.

She wasn’t listening, though, and moved her leg again. She squealed when he flipped them so he was over her and held her wrists captive above her head.

“Playing with fire is dangerous, babygirl.” His words were husky with sleep and desire. Maybe she really had been playing with fire because her body was heating up more by the second.

“Sometimes fire is good for you.” She’d meant the words to be cheeky, maybe even a bit bratty. What actually came out was more breathy and needy.

Daddy looked into her eyes intently for several long moments as their labored breaths mingled. When he lowered his head this time, there wasn’t any part of her that hesitated. She wanted Daddy to kiss her. She wanted it more than anything.

Les

He couldn’t have stoppedhimself if he’d tried. Waking up beside her, having her tease him, all of it had been heaven, but when she’d said fire was good with pure need ringing in her tone, he’d known. He couldn’t go another second without kissing those lips.

When his mouth met hers, he felt his world shift back into place. This was what he’d been missing. He ran his tongue along the seam of her lips and she opened for him. His tongue swept in, exploring her mouth. Her taste was so much like he remembered and yet it somehow still seemed new.

Rae-Rae’s back arched as she tried to get closer. Les released her wrists, bracing himself on his elbows. One of Rae-Rae’s hands tangled in his hair, while the other went around him, pulling him in. She moaned as he deepened the kiss and Les thought he might lose his mind.

How could she be making him feel like he was about to come from just a kiss alone? He desperately wanted to keep going, but he knew that wasn’t a good idea, so Les forced himself to pull back. When Rae-Rae tried to keep the connection, he almost gave in, but when he claimed this woman again, it was going to be forever. He could wait.

“You’re incredible,” Les told her, “fucking perfect.” With one last kiss to the forehead, Les rose from the bed. “But we need breakfast. We’ve got a busy day planned.”

She still hadn’t moved, so Les went over to her side and lifted her up. She squealed for a moment, wrapping her arms around his neck before settling in to enjoy the ride.

“Do you need to use the potty, babygirl?”

CHAPTER 12

Les

“Where doyou keep your Little clothes?” Les asked.

He made sure he was loud enough for Rae-Rae to hear him from the bathroom. He’d carried her in there and set her down next to the potty. She’d let him help get her pajamas down and sit but had asked for privacy. He’d let her have it this time but had warned her that unless it was a hard limit, he’d be helping her and taking care of her from this point forward.

Les had decided to use the time to help pick an outfit for the day instead.

“Second drawer down in the dresser,” she hollered back.

Les headed to the drawer she’d indicated and started rummaging through. He chuckled at all the clothes that were reminiscent of the nineteen-seventies. Rae-Rae had always been fascinated with that time in history and had adored the styles. Sometimes, if she couldn’t find what she wanted, she’d sewn it herself. They had always come out looking amazing. His girl was a masterful seamstress.

As he searched the drawer for something he wanted her to wear for the day, his hand brushed against something hard and cool. It was very out of place in a drawer full of soft fabrics.

Assuming it had fallen into the drawer somehow, Les grabbed hold of it and pulled it out to set it on the top of the dresser, but when he saw what he was holding, he stopped short and stared in disbelief. What he held in his hand was the last thing he expected to see.

He couldn’t move, or take his eyes off of the object, his hope growing with each passing second. He wasn’t sure how long he stood there staring, but he was snapped out of his trance when he heard her voice behind him.

“What’s wrong, Daddy?”

Raelynn

When Daddy turnedto face her, she immediately saw the gold chain dangling from his hand. That’s how she knew exactly why he had the look of disbelief on his face.

“You kept it,” he breathed, and she felt her cheeks heat in embarrassment.

“Yeah,” was the only word she could get out of her mouth at that moment. Too many emotions were flooding her mind.

“You kept your collar,” he whispered.
