“Fuck, little killer,” he growls. “Make that sound again.”

“Weirdo,” I laugh, smacking my knuckles back against his shoulder.

“Here I thought my dick only got hard when you moaned my name,” he murmurs in my ear.

“You’re always hard,Nix Hawthorne,” I scoff, drawing out his name.

“Mhmm,” he hums, pressing his dick harder into my ass. “Just when I’m thinking about how goddamn perfect you are.”

My breath catches, his confession catching me so off guard that for once, I’m at loss for a cutting retort.

Nix goes still, his body tensing against mine. He clears his throat, mumbling, “I’m gonna grab another drink.”

“Okay” I breathe, running a hand through my hair.

He starts to walk away, pausing after a few steps and glancing back at me. “You comin’, little killer?”

“Uh, yeah,” I say, closing the distance between us. As soon as I’m within reach, he drapes a strong arm over my shoulders and tugs me into his side.

I feel a little awkward and out of place as we cut our way through the crowd, passing by club members chatting with drinks in their hands and girls on their laps. Other girls are dancing with each other or grinding against leather clad men, and everyone just seems sounbothered. I’ve grown accustomed to the lingering looks I get frompeople the first time they see me, but here, there are so many people with scars they’d probably stare if youdidn’thave one.

The music fades as we get closer to the building, people sitting in groups of lawn chairs as we approach the makeshift bar. It’s just a wheeled toolbox parked on the concrete pad near the door, bottles on the top and drawers open with cups, ice, and garnishes.

“Get me a beer, prospect,” Nix barks.

“Make that two,” Rhett says, coming up on my other side, hand going to the small of my back.

My pulse kicks up a notch as I find myself sandwiched between the two of them. It’s strange to feel protected, like I actually matter to someone. The little gestures, the possessive words, their claiming touch… fuck, it’s actually kinda hot. Heat starts to bloom in my belly at the heady thought ofbothsets of their hands roaming across my body, pinning me between them as they stuff me full of those huge cocks.

The scrawny Prospect with black rimmed glasses working the bar barely looks twenty-one. He pulls out two beers, twisting off the caps before handing them over and asking, “You?”

I chew on the inside of my cheek as I eye the liquor options, and while I have a clear view of the bottles on top, I can’t see down by the cups and ice. “Uhm,” I start, throat tightening as a feeling of embarrassment claws its way in.

It shouldn’t be this hard to order a drink. Who would spike a drink in a sea of this many people, anyway? But with all the people, it's harder to keep track of them and who drank what. It’d be easy to confuse a tipsy girl with a drugged one.

I survived the trauma of what Shawn did to me, but Inever accounted for how little things about that night would become triggers. I hate it. I don’t want to be looked at like I’m broken and weak because I can’t just trust anyone to make my drink.

“Lennon?” Nix asks, snapping me out of my thoughts.

“Oh, uhm,” I murmur, swiping my tongue across my top lip and reaching forward. “I’ll just take this,” I say, fingers curling around the neck of the bottle of Gin. I pluck the pour spout off the top and toss it at him before raising the bottle to my lips.

“You can’t do that,” he mutters as I take a quick pull.

“Just did.”

I don’t know what look is painted across Rhett and Nix’s faces, but when the Prospect looks from them to me, it’s clear that they’ve given me the green light.

The piano intro of Primadona by Sueco keys up and I internally squeal becauseI love this song.I tip the bottle back again, the burn slithering down my throat as I spin around. “Dance with me?” I ask, crooking a finger to beckon them as I start backing away towards the lot.

“Who?” Rhett asks, raising an eyebrow.

“I thought tonight I got youboth?” I say with an exaggerated pout.

Something carnal blazes in both their gazes as they abandon their beers and stalk in my direction, a smile splitting my face as they surround me. Rhett’s hard body presses against my back, his hands touring my body. Nix snatches the bottle of gin from my hands, taking a drink and watching with wicked intent as I grind against Rhett.

While I know that we’re surrounded by people, I can’t find it in me to care. Maybe it’s the liquor seeping into my bloodstream, or the lack of fucks I have left to give, or because with them, I feel…safe.

Rhett’s breath is warm against the back of my neck as he pulls me closer, my eyes slipping shut as his hand splays against my lower stomach. He rolls his hips, slow and deliberate, the hard ridges of his body teasing mine.
