I nod. “Like hundreds of kids sold without anyone noticing.”

He agrees. “It’s not that it isn’t noticed. People see it but think it’s deserved or just as well. In the country of Georgia, we had four that weren’t Americans and they have moved back to their home countries. The rest are dispersed around the country but the Indians stick close to the BSC Clubs. They do because they look too brown. We know and see the fight first hand. The Alabama detention center has Italians that look too brown. You have toddler twins that belong to the sister. Her husband is deployed so her brother helps out at the house. He went to the store to get milk before picking up the kids from PreK. It’s like baby school, I guess. Anyway, they got picked up and you need to get them back.”

His eyes are on Vapor. I turn toward her as she nods. “Did you tell SOAR?”

Citiali looks surprised. “No, I’m telling you. Your people don’t know me and Badass must look like a circus to them. It still looks like a circus to me and I’ve lived with them forever.”

I laugh. “It is like a circus.”

Vapor is watching him. “You can read. A girl who lives here now told me the pilot for tomorrow’s mission is going to the carrier for a BSC mission.”

He nods watching me then nods again. “Suzie. She’s a seer but different than me. More Tyson or my Dyani.”

She puts her hand up. “I don’t need it. I think you do.”

He looks confused then nods. “I’ll talk to Sarah then Suzie. She stays here with Greg and helps the new coming in. Cuyler from Guardian met her and approves. This doesn’t end soon but the kids from Guardian will show to help assess the kids coming in.”

I breathe and look to my right. The SOAR Brothers are at the wall waiting for Citiali to finish, I guess.

He stands and Vapor stands with him. “You’ll shield for the kids?” I love that it’s a priority to her.

He nods. “I was with the smaller ones earlier. I’ll sit and shield the older. The boy will be brought to a Guard and his wife at a Blackout prison.” He smiles looking younger. “They show him good and he does work for Alder’s study in a couple of years. The study doesn’t pan out but the boy works to make life better for the inmates.”

I have no idea what to say to that. I’m a lawyer, blackout jails are highly illegal in every setting.

Vapor puts her hand up again and leans over the table talking low so others can’t hear. “That’s classified, any mention of blackout is classified.”

Citiali’s surprise shows as shock. “I’ll remember, Vapor. No one has said it before but it’s not a subject that comes up in conversation.”

She nods. “It’s a good thing. Julius is doing classified rules for Badass. He will definitely have that listed.”

Citiali turns. “You’ll send the rules to us all?” The Brother is a President that looks hopeful and very young right now.

I lean in with a smile. “I will, Citiali. Just an FYI, don’t tell illegal shit to any lawyer. Luckily, I didn’t get location or who runs this prison.”

He laughs. “And you won’t.”

Vapor snorts and the SOAR tactical Brothers move closer. Citiali points and I see he’s going for the girl and Suzie.

“He’s the shield guy?” Jones watches him move toward the kids table where Suzie is sitting.

“President but, yes. Citiali is shielding the worst from the kids.” I tell him.

He nods, he was on the carrier when Vapor asked so he knows. “The Alpha-Bits are going to make that cement carpet in thinner sheets like thick Jersey.”

I wonder why he’d care but my girl smirks at him. “Duct tape manufacturers are going to feel that.”

The table laughs. I guess Jones is known for duct tape.

She’s not done. “Michaels is here with his kids. Sarah should meet them. They’ll come regularly to help, they’re seers and ability kids but I didn’t ask about ability. She can if she wants it.”

Jones nods, looking suspicious. “Where are you going?”

I stand and my girl follows. “While you all had some time to decompress when we landed, I’ve been working. It’s my turn, my time. Bring everything to Logan if there are issues.”

She gets salutes she throws chin at and walks. That is how you do it.

“I should have snagged another cake.”
