Stella leans forward, taking some candy in her hand and nodding. I let out a deep breath and spill everything, from how I first met Emilio, my mother and father… Adrian and even Arrow.
“Holy fuck,” Serena whispers under her breath. “I would have wanted to hide that too. And be Addie instead of Isabella.”
I let out a deep breath and snag the last Reese’s Cup. “So, now you know it all, well apart from the fact that I slept with three guys,” I say, grabbing a pillow and covering my face with it.
“At once!?” Serena squeals, yanking the pillow away. Her eyes are wide and she’s grinning. I nod, my cheeks heating.
Stella’s mouth is hanging open and I have no idea what she’s thinking. Does she think differently of me?
“Holy shit this is amazing, I need to know everything,” Serena sits up on her heels. “How did it work, did you have one in each hole…Far out this is like one of those pornos I watch.”
“You’re not even going to ask who it was?” I ask and Serena laughs.
“Dude it’s fucking obvious it was Keegan, Emilio and Madden or did Arrow jump in too?” Serena smirks and I laugh.
“What do you think of this?” I ask, looking at Stella and she shrugs.
“No judgement here, I’m not like Serena and need all the details but did you like it?” She smiles shyly.
“It was something else entirely but I would do it again in a heartbeat,” I say, leaning my head back against the rug and staring up at the ceiling.
“I think they call it a harem from what I’ve read in fiction books, one girl and more than three boys falling for her. Then she doesn’t have to choose, they all want her and she wants them. It’s pretty special to find,” Stella says and I smile staring up at the ceiling.
She’s right whatever this is between us I won’t choose and I hope I never have to.
I sigh, placing my hands behind my head. “Also if we are airing everything with no secrets I had a little run in with Mr. Santoro earlier.”
“Oh shit, what happened?” Serena asks, ripping open a bag of gummy bears that fly everywhere on my bed. Stella laughs, grabbing a handful of them and popping them into her mouth.
I can’t believe I’m about to tell the girls about this. Emilio deserves to know, but first, I want to hear what they think I should do.
CHAPTER15
EMILIO
The last place I want to be is back home. Not that I call ithomeanymore.
My father greets me at the door. The grin on his face tells me he's up to something, and I know I'm not gonna like it.
“Good to have you back home, son.” He pats me on the shoulder as he leads me into the sitting room.
I shrug his hand from my shoulder and take a step back from him. “What's the job?”
He shakes his head as he goes to the decanter of whiskey, pouring two glasses. He hands me one, and I reluctantly take it. I don't savor the whiskey. I drink it in one gulp, shaking my head a little from the welcome burn to my throat.
“Why am I here?” I just want to get this over and done with. I don't want to draw any attention to what we're plotting behind his back. That's the only reason I’m here to do this job.
I slouch down into the leather chair, kicking my feet up onto the coffee table. His eye ticks, but he doesn't say anything about what he, no doubt, views as a sign of disrespect.
“I checked out that school of yours, Roxbury Prep.”
I sit up instantly at his words. When was he at Roxbury?
“You didn't come see me?” I would have known. None of the Irish mentioned it. I wasn’t alerted to his presence there. I’d been keeping track of him for years, but somehow I missed when he came to me. That’s not good. I need to see if Keegan can up the security measures and get better tracking on my father.
“I wasn't there to see you. I was there to see my future bride.”
That has me standing up and confronting him. I grit my teeth and ball my fists. “You are not marrying her,” I hiss out.
