“I like them feisty.” I almost died right there, Noah had just said that. My cheeks started to heat and I wasn’t sure if I was happy he liked me, or embarrassed at what Ranger said.
“Alright, time for you guys to go. Girl talk time.” Lexi’s tone was playful but serious. I was grateful when she made Ranger get up, but I could still feel Noah’s presence behind me. Lexi squished Ranger’s face like a fish and told him to be a good boy. It was funny and cute, but I couldn’t concentrate with Noah being so close. I could smell his scent, he wore some cologne that smelled amazing…
Ranger moved to leave and I watched as he smiled and shook his head at Noah. I watched as he rounded my chair and wrapped his arm around Noah’s shoulder. He pulled him but Noah just looked down at me and didn’t move. Ranger looked at me, as he whispered something into Noah’s ear. I couldn’t hear it.
But they both jogged off, Noah looked over his shoulder and smiled at me. What the hell did Ranger say? My eyes widened. I looked back to Lexi and she had a puzzled expression too. She rolled her eyes as if to say “boys are weird.” Cause they made no sense to me at all.
“It kinda sucks we can’t actuallychatchat, if you know what I mean.” Lexi slumped into her seat with a sigh.
“I know. I was worried about coming back here today. And then you weren’t at the gate and…” shit… I couldn’t say Noah was topless and making me feel things I wasn’t expecting too.
“I’m sorry. I was a little busy…” Lexi trailed off and my mouth dropped open. I knew whatthatmeant. I leaned in, I wanted to know who it was she was busy with. She held up two fingers. Two of them, again? I wonder if it was Ranger and Raff again. I needed to close my mouth before I started catching flies.
Lexi looked out to watch some of the football players, who I assumed were the two she was with, but when I looked there was a bunch of eyes on us… wait. On me? And they were shirtless oh god… how do they all have these incredible bodies? Is there like a Kiba gym? Or do all shifters just get these abs and the V that lead straight down to… I felt flushed and warm all over.
“Would you like a drink, Ada?” I gasped at the voice behind me. Saint. Oh god, my cheeks burned with embarrassment and my stupid crush on him.
“No, thanks” I squeaked out. I didn’t look around, I knew it was him and I didn’t want him to see how much he affected me. When I felt him move around to face me, he gave me a cocky smile as he took his tee off with one hand… like wow. That was so sexy and when he threw it in my lap and winked, my mouth dropped open.
What was happening? Did Saint like me? This… he. Good god he was built in a way that made me want to run my hands down his chest, and into the trail of dark blond curls that led to his cock… was, wait. No… was he hard? Did he have a hard-on?
“Hold that for me. I’ll come back for it later.”
I nodded and he did that stupid grin that made me go all girly and want to kiss him. He strutted off, knowing I was watching. I saw some of the others pushing him around and did they growl at him? Why? Because he gave me his shirt?
When Galen came to crouch beside Lexi, I tried not to pry. Instead I was looking at all these topless guys… it was like an all you could eat buffet. I wanted a plate.
I heard Galen calling them peacocks and I couldn’t help my smile. It was true, they were acting that way. Lexi mentioned something about strutting and the next thing all the guys were acting like they were on a cat walk. Or one of those body builder competitions, showing off their muscles and strutting their goods.
My eyes were on Saint, I knew he could tell I was watching. But then my eyes darted to Noah. He was watching the others, he didn’t look happy, but when his eyes met mine, they glowed. He smiled and waved. I pulled Saint’s tee up to my face, I was so flustered. But when I did, I could see the smile shifted on Noah’s face a bit.
Oh god, I was hurting Noah. But at the same time, I realised… I have a crush on Noah Jones.

As the daystarted turning towards night, the game ended. It had been a lot of fun to watch all these guys wrestle each other for the ball. I think I like watching football when no shirts are involved.
There were a few times where I felt like they were watching me, it felt weird to be the centre of attention. I wasn't sure if it's because I was the only single girl here. Lexi told me they've never had girls come to watch them. Which made sense because of the stuff that was going on and how fast they seemed to heal would blow their whole secret identity. So, I wondered if that was the reason behind their sudden increase of attention. Although I had sat with many of them and spoken to many of them at school last week. So maybe that was why.
Lexi was surrounded by her guys. Galen was really amazing, he was so cute and sweet with the way he hovered over her. Making sure that she was comfortable.
“You girls want a drink? Water?” Raff offered us. I was suddenly overwhelmed by so many males watching me. I needed more than water.
“Yeah, water…some vodka would be better,” I mumbled the last that part under my breath. But I was sure everyone heard it with their super hearing.
When Lexi agreed to both water and vodka, I felt a little bit better. I wasn't a drinker, hell the most I've ever drunk was at my cousins wedding and I’d had three glasses of wine. But I could see some of the guys had beers, and this was supposed to be a Kiba only party. So, I might as well join in and have a little bit of fun and have some vodka.
I tried to ignore Lexi and Maverick, they were all lovey-dovey. The thing was that when one guy left she seemed to always have another one to take his place. So, I really was starting to feel like a third wheel here. Someone stood in front of me and blocked out the sun. There was only one person here who could do that.
I looked up and saw Noah smiling down at me.
“Hey, did you watch the game?” he asked, knowing already that I had watched the game. That I was there watching him, because he’d caught my eye a few times. I nodded.
“I was curious about watching one of you turn from human to wolf. I would like to see it again.” I've been thinking about it all day, especially when I drove in and there were wolves around. It wasn't the same seeing them in wolf form as what I saw with Maverick when he changed. And I wanted to see it with my own eyes again.
