"Yes and I'm in need of some physical therapy. How about you help me stretch and strengthen my muscles."
He glances down at my crotch. "Pretty sure your cock isn't a muscle."
I throw my head back laughing and pull him down into my lap. "So we are really doing this?"
He presses his head to mine. "We are, Papi. There's no turning back now."
"Good. The only place I want to come back to is you."
He pulls away and gets to his feet. I tilt my head when he holds out his hand smiling. "Dance with me?"
I take his hand and he pulls me against him once I'm to my feet. Before he can start singing, I beat him to it. He holds onto me as much as I cling on to him, becoming each other's anchor, strength, and home.
Epilogue
Miguel
8 months later
I walk through the front doors of Club Rio, greeting the door man and the guy at the front desk. Joey is at the bar, leaning his head on Carlos' shoulder.
"Hola, Miguel."
"Hola. Is my son with you two?"
"No, he's handling business in Mexico. He'll be back in a few days. We thought we'd drop by for a quick visit."
"So everything's going well with the business?"
Joey nods. "It's good, it's very good. Isaiah and Santiago had little issue turning things around and gaining back most of your largest clients. Took a little convincing from Santiago. Perhaps a few threats and reminders of who helped get them where they are today."
"Sometimes that's all it takes. How's Angel?"
"Still one of the largest and most reliable drug suppliers in Texas and Mexico City. He's currently here with Santiago checking in with Diego. You have nothing to worry about with all of us pitching in. It's what family does."
I chuckle. "Family who once all hated each other."
"I like to think of it more as tough love." Carlos winks, pressing a kiss to Joey's cheek.
“Any plans of relocating to Mexico?”
Carlos shakes his head, taking a drink from his cup. "Not yet. We travel back and forth when needed, but most of it can be done remotely with the proper men helping us run things. Joey is needed here a lot to help with the sanctuary and Isaiah is too attached to the life we've created here. How's Trenton doing at the club?"
"Not too bad. There have been some issues, but Able plans to take the kid under his wing and show him the ropes as soon as he gets back from Texas. No telling how long he'll be gone, considering the job is nothing more than an excuse to visit an old friend and we all know how that can go."
Carlos laughs, glancing lovingly in Joey's direction. "More than you know. How's my father?"
I cock my head. "Good. He's a little tied up at the moment, but I'll let him know you both dropped by. We expect to see you all at brunch on Sunday."
"We'll do our best to be there. We'll try not to make this one about business this time."
I huff. "You mean a normal brunch with the family where we discuss weekend plans, talk about house renovations, and exchange recipes?"
Joey scrunches his nose. "Maybe there'll be a little business talk after all."
"We wouldn't be us if there wasn't," Carlos adds.
I look down at my watch, releasing a long sigh. "Well, I better not keep work waiting. Gotta get down to the cellar to handle some negotiations. This man's a little more stubborn than the last few, could take me all day."
