“Don’t... Do not say that,” Axel uttered, shaking his head. “You cannot possibly trust me after what I just told you.”

Jasmine turned around and moved closer to him. “I trust you, Axel.”

“Jasmine,” he said, wrapping his arms around her waist and nibbling softly on her ear.

He took his hands off her waist, held her hands, and led her to the edge of the bed. He sat her down and took his seat beside her.

“Run away from me, Jasmine,” he warned. “If you don’t, I will never let you go.”

Instead of responding, Jasmine leaned closer to him and kissed him. She withdrew moments later and searched his face.

He smiled as he inched toward her on the bed, and his eyes glittered in the dark room. Jasmine suddenly became very aware of him, of his huge frame, of the way his shirt fit snugly on his body, and how it accentuated the muscles of his arms and shoulders. Jasmine swallowed. She felt a warmth in her belly as she stared into his eyes. She felt something so warm that, ironically, it made her shiver.

When their lips finally touched, she felt a burst of warmth throughout her entire body. Their kiss was slow at first, but it soon built up into an urgent fervency that made her entire body tingle.

Axel smelt of hardwood, and it filled Jasmine with lust like never before. He gripped her at the waist, and they kissed madly, his tongue in her mouth, his teeth on her lips, and his other hand moving to her bottom.

Jasmine knew at this point that she wanted to give all of herself to him. Axel pulled away and dropped to one knee.

Jasmine gasped.

“Jasmine, marry me,” he said.

Jasmine was taken aback. She could not believe her eyes.

“You came into my life and turned everything upside down, in a good way, of course. And now, I cannot imagine my life without you. Marry me so that we can spend our years together. Marry me so that we can have a bunch of kids and cause a ruckus like your family,” he continued.

“But you once said you do not like the ruckus,” Jasmine said smiling.

Axel shrugged. “I suppose I was jealous of what your family had.”

“I will be happy to marry you, Axel,” Jasmine responded, pulling him to his feet and kissing him.

“I am glad you said yes,” Axel said and Jasmine could see fear in his eyes.

“It was always going to be a yes. I love you, Axel,” Jasmine said

Axel smiled and lifted Jasmine’s chin with his hand. He looked her straight in the eye.

“You do not know how terrified I was when I found out that you were missing,” he said with worry still etched in his eyes.

Jasmine stroked a corner of his mouth with her finger and whispered.

“I am glad you found me when you did, Axel,” she told him, kissing his lips as he draped his hands over her middle.

She trailed a finger down his chest down to his trousers, and he groaned in pleasure.

“I have to reward you for coming to my rescue so gallantly,” she said.

“I cannot help but wonder what this reward is,” he smirked, his eyes glinting maliciously.

“You can be sure that you will enjoy the reward,” she whispered to him, slipping a hand down his trousers, and taking his manhood in her hand.

It felt huge in her hand, but she did not pay mind to it because he drew in a feverish breath at this point.

“It is you and I now, Axel,” she said. “There is no scoundrel or kidnapper or member of the Ton standing between us. But we do not have too much time tonight,” Jasmine said, pushing him to lie on the bed.
