Isaiah grinned as he took it and began swiping through the captured images. “Nice.”

“You know,” Kendrick said from behind the bar where he was mixing a drink, “you gave a fine performance today. You might win an Oscar.”

Ace nodded at the teasing. “Glad I impressed. But back to the cameras. I think this means we have two groups watching for Lana. The Marshals’ Service, which makes sense. Wheneverthe LAPD showed up to her apartment and found it empty, they probably filed a report. That got into the system where the Feds picked it up. They probably don’t take too kindly to losing one of their protectees. Makes ‘em look bad.”

“They don’t need the help, either,” Isaiah said. “They do a good enough job of that all on their own.”

All the guys laughed.

“The other group spying has to be whoever is after her. Most likely her stepdad’s gang,” Ace stated.

At the pool table, Ryan took a shot, missed, and then picked up a small square of chalk and applied some to the end of his cue as he spoke. “It’s possible that the Marshals are using two different kinds of cameras.”

“True,” Ace admitted. “But not likely. We might have worked for the city and not the Feds, but you know how it is. All government is the same. You get bids, pick a vendor, and order. I think all their cameras would come from the same company.”

Matteo, who was playing pool with Ryan, paused before taking his own shot. “I agree. We’ve got two groups waiting for her to return.”

Ace looked at his phone, read a text, and then said, “Now there’s three. We’re live. Stryker was able to activate the cameras on his lunch break. He just emailed me a link.”

He walked to where the computers and monitors were set up, typed on the keyboard and then tapped on his phone, and a moment later, images of Lana’s apartment filled the screen.

“We’ve got eyes.”

The other Daddies gathered around.

“So what’s the plan?” Jordan asked.

“I would say we wait for whoever is watching to come back. But if Lana doesn’t show up on the cameras, they might not come. And with the Marshals watching, too, well…” Ace sighed and shrugged. “I’m not sure what we can do.”

Everyone was silent for a moment, and Ace assumed all the guys were trying to figure out the problem, as well.

“Stryker is really good with this tech stuff. I want to talk to him later. I have an idea, but it might not even be possible,” he offered.

“Might as well ask,” Kendrick said.

“Yep,” Ace agreed.

“There isn’t much we can do until then. Can you set it up where you get alerts from those cameras on your phone?” Matteo said.

Ace nodded. “Already done. I’ll know the minute anyone enters that apartment.”

“Good. Then there’s not much we can do right now. Auntie Athena is taking all the Littles at her place on a field trip. Want to go?” Matteo arched an eyebrow and grinned, clearly already knowing the answer.

The Daddies jumped at the opportunity.

And Ace was all smiles. He was ready to see sweet Little Lana.

Chapter Sixteen

Lana wasn’t so sure about the field trip.

She knew it was safe. Auntie Athena and the other woman who worked at the nursery—Auntie Caroline—had explained that this was a closed event at a secure location.

Los Angeles had a thriving Ageplay community. Everyone was vetted and vouched for. The events were always held in spots that could be locked down, too, so prying eyes couldn’t push their way in.

Plus, one of the first rules of kink was to never expose a ‘nilla without their consent.

So, Lana wasn’t worried about the guys who’d broken into her place finding her.
