Luke sat there looking confused.
He looked awful—gaunt and scruffy.
“Who isshe?” Whorehound shrieked.
Luke stared at me, but his eyes were blank.
I closed mine.
Daddy knew.
But these two fuckwits didn’t even recognise me.
Why would they?
“This is my fiancée, Iris Dalton,” Daddy said, voice cold and sharp as steel.“You might remember her name.”
The sarcasm in his voice was lethal.
I gripped his forearm like it was a lifeline.
He kept his hand steady on my thigh.
“Dalton?” Whorehound echoed, glancing at Luke.
Luke’s eyes snapped up, and he stared at me as if he’d seen a ghost.
“Warren, give them the papers,” Daddy said.
“P-Papers?”
“I am rescinding my generous divorce settlement and initiating the clause for infidelity, as well as enforcing the original prenuptial agreement. As for Luke, I’m afraid criminal activity disqualifies him from receiving any of the trust fund my family set up for him.”
I watched in shock as Warren passed them the documentation.
“Drugging and raping a child is deemed a criminal act. An egregious one at that. I’m in the process of locating the witness and raising a complaint at the police commission.”
I gasped and stared at him, but he was too busy boring holes into his almost ex-wife and son.
“But Dad, what will I do?” Luke whined.
“You can’t do this!” Whorehound exclaimed.
“Warren,” Daddy said.
“It’s all legal. As you can see from your documentation, we have ample evidence and witness statements regarding your numerous affairs,” Warren replied.
“You each have a generous sixty days to vacate my properties,” Daddy said, as if discussing the weather.
“She is a liar, Magnus. How can you believe that slut over your family?”
“You now have thirty days, Leona,” Daddy said in a bored tone.
He took my hand and rubbed his thumb over my finger.
“I’d like to get married before we have the baby,” he said, glancing at me with a smirk.
“Baby?! You got her pregnant? She did this—”
