“Calling to invite me to your third wedding?”

“This is why I don’t call you,” he muttered.“I just rang to make sure you haven’t done anything stupid.”

I thought of the six times I came inside Iris’s unprotected pussy between last night and today.

“Of course not. I’m a grown man.”

“Good. Keep it that way,” he said.

Silence.

“Hello?”

I checked my phone.

Fucking cock-sucker. He’d hung up on me—again.

He didn't even know what I was doing.

I decided to message him.

Me:The sex is phenomenal. The best I’ve ever had. Six times in fifteen hours and counting.

Benedict:Fuck off.

I grinned, feeling better and called Luke, but there was no answer—as usual.

When Kate buzzed me to let me know that Leona was here to see me, I thought it was my lucky day if she brought signed divorce papers. I guess I forgot who I’d been married to.

She came in wearing a designer white pant suit, heavy-handed makeup, and freshly blow-dried hair.

“Leona,” I said, pointing to a seat.

“I need you to call this all off, Magnus. We cannot do this to Luke. He is spiralling out of control. The boy is a mess,” she sniffed as she sat down.

“I told you time and time again not to spoil him. You hide half the shit he did in sixth form and when he started Uni. It was only when I threatened to cut off his trust fund that he managed to pass his finals,” I said coldly.

Anger and hatred blazed in her eyes.

“He is our son.”

“He is a grown man.”

Then the waterworks started.

“Please, Magnus. Don't do this to our family,” she sobbed, searching her purse for tissues.

“I know for a fact that you fucked around behind my back, Leona. Yes, I was always at work because that is the only place I had peace. You were always the victim. And I never forgot what you called my mother.”

She gasped.

“I don't want to speak ill of the dead—”

I slammed my hand on the table.

“Get out before I have you thrown out, Leona. You have forty-eight hours to return the divorce papers, or I will have Warren cut your spousal support in half. I’m being generous in offering you what I am.”
