And even though he noticed me re-enter the shop, he only glanced at me fleetingly with hunched shoulders and a chin on his chest, making my resolve final.
I need that man.
The man that was so full of layers I hadn’t even begun to peel.
Usually, he’d be the guy I’d avoid like the plague. I’d been with my fair share of macho dicks that felt emasculated by my queerness and only wanted me so they could check “screw Asian guy” off their bucket list.
But Parker wasn’t like the rest of them.
And if all I did was fuck him, then he couldn’t hurt me even if he was.
No, there’s a soft side to that guy.
I could see it even if he didn’t want to let it show. It was obvious in everything he did and the care with which he did them.
And I wanted him todo mewith that same care.
“Hey,” I said, approaching him.
He didn’t look me in the eye, but he did look at the floor next to me.
“Any luck?” he asked.
“Any luck? Luck with what?”
“The insurance company.”
“Oh. No. Not really. But I can take care of that. Um…Parker?”
He glanced up, and our gazes met. My cock hardened again.
I didn’t know if it was the effect of the almost-kiss or finally allowing my mind to go wild while jerking off, but I wanted this man.
It was easier when I thought I never stood a chance. Now, the can of worms had been opened, and those freaky bastards had crawled into all the wrong places.
“Yes?” he asked, with a defeated expression that punched me right in the heart.
“What are you…doing tonight? Any…dinner plans?”
The defeat was replaced by confusion. Parker arched an eyebrow and his mouth hung open.
“What?” he asked.
His voice got louder, but I couldn’t blame the guy. I’d kinda thrown a wrench in the works.
“Yeah, I thought we could get to know each other better. I mean, you’ve worked for me for two weeks, and I barely know anything about you. And you can find out more about me.”
I offered him my smile as the cherry on the cake and waited.
It couldn’t be more obvious what I was trying to do.
If he was straight or not interested, he’d turn down my offer and come back to work tomorrow morning, and we’d never speak of it again.
“Um…sure,” he said and scratched the back of his head.
Or he could say yes.
Shit. I didn’t actually believe he would say yes.
