“Is that my new pet name?” I ask him.
He grins.
“It is now. Because you’re my baby, Beau, aren’t you?”
“I sure am, Daddy Gordon,” I tell him.
“Well, good. But don’t you think I’m changing any diapers,” he laughs, and I nod in agreement.
“Let’s just leave the diapers to the actual baby in this house.”
We shake on it.
